the ping has a lot of functions. for solo play, you can call chacha or kayamba with the ping. if they are using certain masks, the pins will give them signals to do some actions (give you oxygen, set trap, etc)

for online, the ping indicates where the monsters are. also used to indicate that the monster is about to sleep, or the monster is capture-able.

I think that is the armor skill.
Capture Guru skill that will let the painted monster blink blink when able to capture.
Quite a good skill for beginner to learn how to see if monster is weak enough to capture.

last time we didn't have the chat function, we used the ping to indicate that mob is sleeping, or can cap mahhhhhhhhhhh. coz typing lambat.

now we chat directly, we stopped doing this but if playing without chatting, can still use kwah

I don't think it will work as Xbox also doesn't work. They have their driver and stuff to only work on PS and PC.
Sony Playstation headset always like that one. I heard Turtle Beach got sell a headset that works with Wii U.

Good! I will check with my supplier on Turtle Beach. I prefer headsets cause sounds are clearer and of course with my dogs running around barking it would cancel that out. My pro controller not arriving today so cant use it for the weekends.

I understand I always play my 3DS with headphone if the surrounding is noisy.
But if at home since I don't have a dog is pretty quite put volume around 30 with home teather and boom. Whole house cannot sleep

normal earphones work, at least i know i could hear ju and the rest happily babbling away. i see no reason why the mic won't work with normal earphones connected to the gamepad, but better try to be sure.

True, sorry i didnt notice there was a headphone jack on the gamepad. can just use my earphones for my phone haha.
