Try pairing it with the LDM+.
My Crossroad PLD should be arriving next week, and I am most likely meeting up PcWork to recable one of my Koss next week too. By then I can give you a full description on how it sounds like on amp.
However, just a brief description on how my KSC75 sounds like on the LDM+. Not recabled yet.
Well, frankly speaking, just by pairing it up with my Philips PSC805, I have to admit it sounds abit strange, with slightly dragged/bloated bass, not very deep and clean. Highs are uncontrolled, overly bright, but clarity and sound quality wise is already showing itself. Vocals are precise and clear, cymbals and mid highs are clean and crisp.
Then I went ahead and took my LDM+ from the box (PS: I didn't like the LDM+ btw, doesn't pairs well with my other headphones), and I thought, ah well, since I might very well sell it, why not give it a try.
Grief mistake man. (as in I won't be selling the amp anymore)
With only one hour of burn in, the KSC75 sounded like a charm! Improved bass control, deep and hard, bloats are totally gone unlike the ones which I hear previously from the PSC805 alone. Highs are better controlled, though still abit harsh due to insufficient burn in. The cymbal and midhighs are brought slightly more forward, clearer and more elaborated, clarity and vocal range wise not much of a difference as of yet. Still requires abit more testing.
But frankly speaking I am the very opposite of Madman.. Not a basshead at all, hence, it sounds good for me that way.
Either way, if you want, I might be bored enough to meet you for a jamming session? Especially when I need to meet Akabane to grab a M30 from him.
PS: LDM+ tends to narrow down soundstage btw. Hence, I find it to work well on the KSC75 which have virtually no, or, to say, very little soundstage. Hmmm... I guess it would work well for the Grados too.. But, that's another story altogether. xD Oh what source are you on btw?
