Hi, I just took delivery of Inokom Hyundai i10 1.25 Kappa CVVT on 14 March 2013! Just wondering is there any other owner of this SOLID Award Winning car besides me?

Can I ask you the following questions?
1) What is your Model (eg. 1.1 OR 1.25 CVVT/year made/reg (eg mine's 2012 year made)?
2) How is your fuel consumption of your car?
3) Are you happy/satisfied with your car so far?
4) Any quality, reliability issues with your i10?
LASTLY:
5) Will you recommend this car to anyone (eg. families, friends, colleagues)?

LOOKING FORWARD TO HEAR FROM YOU!

PS. let me get the ball rolling:
1) i10 1.25 CVVT 2012/2013, White
2) 2nd fill up average RM50 good for 300km - RM0.17/km (but then this car's in Kah Bintang Yard for 12 months! According to the plastic wrapping sticker on the front seat: Manufactured March 2012! So the engine oil & lubes might dry up or hardened!
3) Happy with the car other than the HIGHISH FC! The car's VERY SOLID, Good soundproofing, Good ride and handling and lastly, Stable at speed up to 140km/h unlike my Sister's MYVI 1.5SE (A) - Bumpy if seat behind at speed above 100km/h! Oh! Ya! Autoworld's YS Khong tested this i10, TOP SPEED 170km/h and 0-100km/h in 12.2 secs! IMPRESSIVE for a 1248cc A-segment car!

4) Touch wood, NONE so far!
5) DEFINITELY and a RESOUNDING YES!!! 3x better than MYVI and Viva! Even NST CBT 3 car comparo between i10 1.1 (OLD ENGINE), Myvi 1.3 and Saga FLX = verdict/winner: Hyundai i10 1.1 (Old Timing belt engine - note the 1.25 CVVT's Timing Chain driven)!!!

They liked it so much that they voted this car 2009, 2010,2011 City Car of the Year (3 years in a row!), Also Car of the Year India 2008,

Why Hyundai i10?
Winner of over 40 awards worldwide including (in Malaysia):
Car of the year NST/Maybank 2009,2010 and 2011 Best City Car.
Car of the year India: 2008/09
Autocar ASEAN Awards 2010 best city car
Asian Auto Compact City Car of the year 2010
Asian Auto 1st in fuel economy awards 5.1l/100km
Asian Auto VCA 2009, Best People's car.
EURO NCAP 4 stars (Safest city car around)
Excellent front and rear headroom and legroom (see picture 6 and 7 above)

Despite only 1248cc CVVT, it generates 87 hp @ 6,000rpm with torque of 120Nm @ 4,000rpm. Matching nearest rival 1500cc power and torque.

Let's get the ball rolling!

UPDATE: Received a "LOGIC Update" letter. Apparently for ALL 1.25 CVVT made from 2011 to 2012. Did my ECU Update on 15 July during my 5000km service. It only takes 10 minutes. The result?

SMOOTHER - Linear Acceleration, more responsive acceleration, More POWER, 10% save fuel. Photo of the letter below: Attached Image

The i10 doesn't come with Temperature gauge. How to know your temperature rising?

1) Your aircond will suddenly blow hot air.
2) the Red/orange temperature warning light will lit up.
3) If 1&2 happens. Stop driving OR drive to your nearest Hyundai Service centre.

Why did you change from a Honda Civic FD2 to a Hyundai i10?

Is the i10 a second car or did you trade it in? Or financial reasons?

Saw some comments that this car's FC is a lot higher than most owners' expected. Any truth on that? Worth buying over Myvi?

I do like the leather seats offered in the Colourz Edition though.

To compare there are surely pros and cons, but as for the FC its really high, full city use 50-300km..quality is surely better than Myvi but Myvi has a bigger interior

An additional problem of i10 is their electrical steering, tends to have problem when they launch it first in 2008, don't know about the new batch, but there is always the 5-years warranty!!

Well and surely its parts are way more expensive than myvi, eg its headlamp 1 side around RM700 ori!!

DISCOVERED that Hyundai i10's DISABLED friendly (especially for Wheelchair bound passangers) car when I fetched my 92 yrs old Granny to Clinic...

In Hyundai i10, you "SIT naturally" and comfortably & transfer seamlessly from wheelchair to the seat), unlike normal car (where your Butt sinks on the seat). It's because it's higher-than-usual Seating position. This car seating position's JUST NICE. Think CRV or KENARI seating position. Also, it's ULTRA-WIDE 80 degree Door Openings... The boot swallowed a Collapsable Wheelchair JUST NICE.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

After driving the comfortable i10. I NOT used to my Waja seating position AND HUGE TURNING CIRCLE. Always wondering "WHY THE SEAT's SO LOW???" and "Why WAJA Cannot U-turn (need 3 point turn) while my i10 can?"

THANKS TO HIGHER-than-normal-car seat configuration and 4.75m turning circle (Waja's HUGE 5.6 man!).

YES and NO!

My i10 FC best and worst achieved LAST 30 days.

BEST: 15km/l OR RM0.125/km. RM30 => 240km. Return trip PJ to PD only 1/2 tank.
WORST: 8.6km/l or RM0.21/km. RM55 => 250km. 100% CITY (including 90 mins LDP Jam).

There you go!

Yes it is somewhat higher than most owners expected. Because the brochure states 17km/l. I normally only got around 12-13 km/l

But i do think that Hyundai/Inokom don't do things correct also. First, their service centre always use 10w-40 grade semi-syn engine oil by default (in my case). I think our i10 should use 5w-30 for better FC. Second, new i10 come fitted with Goodyear NCT 5 tyre. They should've used more ECO / low rolling resistance tyre.

Just my opinion
