My S3 screen is cracked due to drop. Called Samsung to check repair price RM 530.

Too expensive for me. Any outside shop can repair at cheaper price?

better repair at samsung service center if you wan to remain your warranty..

Considered ok as last time I heard it cost about RM700, and of course to preserve your warranty better send it back to Samsung.

Outside cheaper but warranty no more but if your phone warranty about over then can consider. Just check outside price first.

Sorry, but doesn't the warranty considered void once they are cracks on your screen? So i mean. Once they have changed the screen, the warranty will only cover the new screen maybe for a few months??

hi.. my s3 got hard brick... sent to service they said cannot claim waranty because rooted... so need change motherboard... rm759.. can repair shop do it lower? or better service at samsung?

i dont know... i thought they cant detect at all.. but surprise when they call back say my phone cant claim because rooted... but wonder how rooted can effect motherboard... i used to rooted sony before but when hardbrick they dont know the hp rooted.. can claim waraanty.. maybe luck was not with me.. huhu

last time mine rooted and SDS. lucky they can't detect. Cause only stuck in Samsung i9300 logo. last time still old bootloader, no "!" on boot.

I don't know the name but it's at the end of USJ where you head towards Kajang. It's not Summit. From Summit you go further down, turn right and a little way down, you will see the the huge building. I think it is also an apartment complex.

They were talking about s3. For the model no, he quoted that wrongly and he was sorry for that. That were supposed to be i9300 and i9305. You should read the whole thread before posting any comments.
