Not much will change... All decision still comes from Maxis when it comes to SimCity.
It's good they have more updates, if they decide to slow down on the update, it just shows how it's a flop and that everyone should stop playing it.
EA also got a rights to makes Star Wars games now  doh.gif
RIP Star Wars games...unless they are done by Bioware.

Bioware is also under EA, isn't it? Bioware created my ill-fated SW:TOR. After level 50, I've nowhere to go. until now, still no guild ship that they promised, instead they embarked on other stuffs. Sorry for the off-topic.

Yes it's under EA. But it's a different story if it's Bioware because EA don't disturb them like what EA do to Maxis and other companies.
I bet Maxis didn't make the decision to go always online, it was EA sweat.gif

Only bits of the game is playable. Manufacturing seems to be working fine for me. Just started that city for fun recently to try out the tunnel/bridge method, and so far it's doing good. Jan @ Year 2 currently. 10m in the coffers, daily (monthly) profits @ 3.5m. With the tunnel/bridges method, managed to solve a lot of traffic woes with proper planning. Having the Avenues all underground in tunnels frees up a lot of space allowing for more real estates above ground for extra trees or services (multiple hospitals/more colleges/fire stations) to counter the broken GlassBox system.

Haven't touched public transportation or tourism/gambling yet as I've heard too many horror stories on those.

yea. public transport is bugged like hell. Imagine whole street clogged up by municipal busses and they are like bendi-bus. One whole bunch of them just clumps together going from one place to another. rclxub.gif

And also the train system... OMG >.<

As for tourism/gambling, I also started my own private region. So far developed 7 out of 16 plots and all of them are either manufacturing, Smelting or Oil & Plastic. I leave out the final 3 seaside and riverside spots which is ideal for tourism to be developed last. Would like to see the synergy works or not.

Yeah.. at least one bit of the game still works.. in that sense, thank god for specialization.. lol..

Population only @ 80k, so can still tahan for now. All roads only though, no avenues except for the one from the highway.

One thing I realized.. highway interchange coming in damn stupid.. always jam there for no reason even though there's no jam in my city (whoops.. town because of size), because of my pro tunnels and bridges... lol.. because 3 lanes squeezing into a stupid one lane highway ramp.. hope Maxis/EA realizes this and fixes it ASAP. ATM I am liking those plots where the highway runs right through them with no intersection.. traffic flow so much smoother!

yea, those jams at intersection is what caused my processor factory output to diminish from 9,600 crates/day to 6,000 crates/day.

Hold out on any purchases now. The game is absolutely buggy and annoying. Wait for all the bugs to fix out first. Hey, prices might even drop as well. Win-Win.

Get from resellers here on LYN. It's much cheaper. RM 135 + RM 10 pos laju for Limited Edition. The 3 other DLCs will set you back another RM 50-60. Absolutely not worth it.

Tourism/gambling is uber buggy, I'm about to give up on it already.
