New owner of eb with first service due soon. So far mileage is 930.

In my 2wks with the car I have noticed a few characteristics.  Would like to ask for some advice or feedback.

Here goes:

1) Understand that cvt whine is a characteristic of the car.  This is especially apparent when accelerating at 2k rpm and above.  Also apparent when coming to a stop while stepping on the brakes. The sound is like a high pitch whine like when sitting in plane and you hear the jet engines from inside the cabin when the plane take off. Normal?

2) Acceleration in this mpv is quite good.  I am seriously considering installing the racechip s to up the power.  Will this void the warranty? The manufacturer claims it will not. Any Bros here can share experience with racechip upgrade?

3) Will strut bars, vertical and horizontal undercarriage braces and rear anti roll bars help in the handling or ride quality of the car?

4) Thinking of doing insulflex sound proofing on floor,  beneath wheel arches and under arch panels, doors and lower firewall.  Anybody tried this before and kindly share the results?

5) What are the best drl lights for this car? Am looking at Philips or osram or other good quality units. Also what position on the bumper is best to install drls?

fan - normal, rear washer - something not right somewhere, power - also something wrong somewhere, coz mines, once i step on the paddle, its goes smoothly, can feel the power at 1.8k. 

Did my first service on Saturday. Mileage 1212KM. On Sunday, when reversing the car to the car porch, engine died twice! Never experience this when I first got the car until yesterday. Anyone experience the same. Also after the service, notice the car does not lag when moving from stop. Before this need about 1 second after pressing the pedal before it moves. Could the problem of engine die due to some tweaking by the mechanic?!

Price also depend on where you wanna put the tank, either atas (inside) or bawah(spare tyre area)
Usually exora use top tank 77ltr. Cost around RM3950, if use below around RM4800 (40ltrx2)

EB non turbo use OMVL (Italy)
Bigas also can be use but "tak cukup power"
JPJ Puspakom no issue they said.
They will lock speed on gas <120kmh, more than 120 the ecu turn to petrol (unless owner taknak)

Guys would like to ask changing rim (similar size as ori 16inch) will it void warranty of the absorber and other related thingy?

When i changed the steel rim to other 16inch rim, one of the tyreman told me that left rear side absorber occurs oil leaking...oh my...just even 1K+ odo reading nia....

Will have a check on other workshop to clarify the problems but felt the car still in a piece...

Another thing, driver seat having some nyek nyek sound...told the SC during 1st service but they said x such sound when they test drive...haizzz...

Steering too occur funny sound-rattle on pass on the uneven road...told them too but same x any problem when they test the car...oh my...might change to other sc on next service...

I had this issue when starting the car while engine is cold.
Happened really very random but happened a few times.
The first turn to start the car, it will not start.
So second turn, it engine started, but engine guickly died off. Looks like those old days car the car is too cold and died off.
The third turn, will be able to start.

Always the third time will be able to start. Not sure if anyone experience the same thing.

aircond in EB is one of the coldest mpv that i've tested

The factory installed tint good? I more worried it will grow bubbles and spoil the add-on film later. Rather remove it now if it is not good.

Tentative will get car by next Tues/Wed, only if the salesman did not sales talk me!

Guys, is it true that everytime we stop during traffic light, we sholud change the gear from D to N to to destress the and expand the lifetime of the gearbox? My friend tell me this theory. Hope sifu here can explain

If i want to change my ICE systems to after market system (chg HU + add amp + chg speakers + add subwoofer) it will void my warranty... my question is what kind of warranty does it void here.. ? engine warranty and warranty for other parts of the vehicle except for proton ICE,  is it still intact?.. any idea??

Cannot tahan the OEM sound of standard proton ICE.. too flat for me..

Something to share.. since my EB is for weekend use and travel in the city (KL, PJ, S.Alam, Puchong) only, in order to reduce the weight, I have take-out it spare tyre and it bracket (combine weight is 20kg). As a precaution, I have make ready in my my car the following :

1. Electric pump;
2. Complete kit to repair punctured tyre
Both weight less than 3kg.

Anybody have a good advise AGAINST this practice.. I hv seen lot of taxi using Exora & Toyota Innova NGV use the same practice

Why sometimes the exora bold CFE can't start?only at 2nd attempt can.my car is having this issue now
Does anyone know why sometimes the turbo not opening?it suppose to open at 2K RPM,but today my bro hit the pedal up to 5K RPM turbo no open.then he try again hit pedal up to 4K RPM dint open.But after then it started to work again.

Recently, i've faced a very high vibration on my steering wheels especially at 30-50km/h range and 100-120km/h range...Do you guys facing the same issue?
what's the possible root cause of it? Solution?

For the last few weeks, whenever I start the car, there is some petrol smell inside the cabin but would disappear once the car starts rolling. Didn't experience it the first few months that I got the car (early Aug). FYI, I only drive during weekends and only just start to warm up the engine every two days during weekdays. Anyone face the same problem?

Not sure how to change it. But the default pin is 0000.

I'm not really sure is it good or not in term of price but certainly its better than stock Champiro tire. Better check with tire section for comparing the latest price.
