NGV is bad.My dad got p.wira and he install NGV for 2K.now the car giving alot of problem. When you stop at traffic light, engine Mati then cannot start for 10mins..But idk how it works with the CFE TURBO.But NGV save alot of petrol.Rm8 only to refill.
*
who says its bad..

i drove ngv car at my old wira for 4 years.. no problem pon.. go melaka RM 7, go back also rm7.. hell yeah.. use it untill the last day i sold it to buy exora.. huhu..

its either the ngv installer is bad, o dunno how to tune ngv,or cannot identify the problems.. if u put mixer system in a fuel injection car, sure will got problem.. mixer cheap, sequential expensive.. there are a lot if ngv installer out there, but which one that is good, u have to ask at NGV community at the web or FB.. if u join them, sure can solve or find a good tuner/installer..

what about the car pick up? is it same like normal gasoline performance? or you will find a drag/delay in NGV system?? kinda impressive when the NGV user says only used less than Rm20 for travelling long distance (closed loop) when i googled it just now...it's just the initial cost is expensive ~RM5K.huhhuhu
*
5500 is consider good price for sequential.. back those days where fuel price high, lots people conver to NGV, they put minimum 6000-7000 for sequential oo.. mixer system is cheap, but will cause u trouble everyday..proton taxi cars use mixer types..

for pickup ofcoz will be abit slower.. top speed lower.. but its consider okla, u can save money on petrol.. u got more milage, with less money.. my old wira i drove almost 200km a day, with only rm7.. can still use petrol if u want more power..can switch while driving..

one thing to be considered is the HEAT... dunno if the cvt gearbox can tahan the 100 degree celcs extra heat from NGV..hmmm... can consider extra fan or 3 layer aluminium radiator.. hahahahaha thumbup.gif

osem link bro... ok if let us know if you manage/find/gonna to install it.. maybe can ajak kawan2 di sini and do bulk installation + kowtim and get cheaper a price hehe, put my name on the list smile.gif
*
this is LPG, not CNG/NGV.. it uses liquid.. just like normal dapur gas, but the tank is different.. in malaysia, we dont have this LPG for cars.. for forklift have la.. we only have Natural gas for vehicle (NGV).. hahaha..

i already contact the shop at Klang, they have install it at exora bold..cfe.. so far he said no problem from the customer.. they use OMVL system..

but still scared to install at CFE engine.. if anything happen, no warranty o to the engine.. maybe will consider to do it after 2-3years.. now my car only 1 1/2 year.. hohoho...

ooo like that baru paham...have to wait a bit till 1~2 year after purchase and by that time sure the NGV + Exora mature enough.

Mini research seem the idea of TEKS1M come with NGV, probly CPS?Manual... not sure..

http://www.ngvglobal.com/cng-modified-prot...taxi-fleet-0419
http://www.azelery.com/2013/04/teksi-1mala...-exora-ngv.html

but on SPAD website no news shown related to TEKS1M, except TR1MA
Well have to simpan hasrat for NGV for now tongue.gif
*
teksi 1 malaysia tu use cps engine.. only exterior BOLD....it uses 1 of the best NGV kit, from japan.. brand Prins i think..

what i have found, got i installer at klang already install at EB cfe engine.. the tank is located at the spare tyre.. same like innova teksi.. so no spare tyre loh..

How much can we save if install NGV? If currently per month I have to pay RM300 for petrol (just to go-back work), how much NGV will cost per month? RM100?
*
ok la, put to this.. innova full tank ngv is ithink rm 10..innova uses 2x40ltr tank.. my late wira uses 1 65ltr tank..innova can go around 200km in city drive.. (2.0 enjin tau) while exora RM 50 can go around 250-300km city drive( speed limit not more than 110)...

so RM 10 ngv can go 200km.. x 5 time?.. can go 1000km with only rm50..
while petrol - RM 50 can go let say 300km.. how much money u need to drive 1000km using petrol?...

this is estimate only.. not accurate..

only the installation cost a bit high.. 5500-6000...

last time i use wira aeroback s.e, my cost for petrol is around 4-500 a month.. after using ngv, only spend not more than 150..

just like what zakinawi said, pickup slow, top speed also low.Going up Hill no power.
*
Thats why must use sequential syatem.. When going uphill, can change to fuel while driving.. No need to stop, turn off enjin.. Just push button like on off.. Thats all.. If u want more speen, change to fuel.. U want to save, change to gas.. Simple as that..

bro..
i think agree with you...how the CFE can hold the high temp from NGV system is a concern...another one is no spare tyre at all...which i think is needed in some cases..huhuhu..also you've mentioned about 3 layer radiator..huhu looks a lot of other things to modify...maybe the initial cost may hit around Rm8k...huhu
at the end..pro n cons matter smile.gif
ape2 pun...once you've installed let us know ya..maybe can share the right place and shop to consider smile.gif
*
kidding lah.. 3 layer radiator is too much lah.. hahahaha.. this is a mPv, not a racing car.. racing car use 3 layer logic la.. hahahaha..

hill hold assist
is a feature which the transmission hold the car from rolling back if it is on a steep ramp or hill, so to say. current EB CFE (old VT3) w/o hill hold assist (i guess) will roll back a little, like 30cm, before the clutch engages and moving forward.

kinda scary for newbie, kinda dangerous for bumper-to-bumper situation. yet, proton doesn't care a shit.

With the current oil price increase situation...how do you guys plan to save fuel on your EXORA EB besides the way you drive? X-1R really helps or you guys used different brand? People says SHELL petrol saves...appreciate your sharing and experience. Thanks smile.gif
*
1.) install ngv
2.) EB simpan rumah, naik motor go to work
3.) drive rpm below 3..speed bwlow 100km/j
4.) X-1R give nothing..
5.) from my experience, shell is smooth, but cepat habis.. petronas, lambat habis.. dunno y..maybe different car or different driving type.. hehe..

QUOTE(Anubis13 @ Sep 4 2013, 06:48 PM)
Hi All Bros,

New owner of eb with first service due soon. So far mileage is 930.

In my 2wks with the car I have noticed a few characteristics.  Would like to ask for some advice or feedback.

Here goes:

1) Understand that cvt whine is a characteristic of the car.  This is especially apparent when accelerating at 2k rpm and above.  Also apparent when coming to a stop while stepping on the brakes. The sound is like a high pitch whine like when sitting in plane and you hear the jet engines from inside the cabin when the plane take off. Normal?

2) Acceleration in this mpv is quite good.  I am seriously considering installing the racechip s to up the power.  Will this void the warranty? The manufacturer claims it will not. Any Bros here can share experience with racechip upgrade?

3) Will strut bars, vertical and horizontal undercarriage braces and rear anti roll bars help in the handling or ride quality of the car?

4) Thinking of doing insulflex sound proofing on floor,  beneath wheel arches and under arch panels, doors and lower firewall.  Anybody tried this before and kindly share the results?

5) What are the best drl lights for this car? Am looking at Philips or osram or other good quality units. Also what position on the bumper is best to install drls?

Many Tks to all for your generous feedback to a noobie!!!

Cheers.

1.) thats the turbo sound.. if change to open pod, it will sound like kepish! kepish!, (already changed mine)

2.) racehip - go ahead n install.. rm1800.. will not void warranty coz no wire cutting.. plug n play.. got some
forumer inhere alraedy install it.. search for him

3.) yes, it does helps.. already install fullsets of UR bars.. improve A LOT..

4.) insulflex floor - not done yet (mahal)
insulflex beneath wheel arches and under arch panels - will reduce around 20% noise only.. already done it
insulflex door - some say have effect, some say no effect.. i do STP gold + bomB.. SATISFIED already..hehe
insulflex lower firewall - better to use STP gold / bomb.. use insulfex got no effect..

5.) i dont like drl...hahahahaha tongue.gif

This matter is due to the oil cooler hose burst. This matter effect Exora CFE with chassis number between PL1FZ6YDRCF074197 - PL1FZ6YDRCF079500. Not all will encounter the loose oil hose issue. If any owners who encounter

- White smoke appeared from engine compartment
- engine sounds and feels rough (like a lot of metal parts rubbing each other sound)
- rapid decrease in engine oil level

Then they should bring their Exora CFE to the nearest service center for a check and possible oil hose replacement.

info taken from Preve Owners Club page. Credits to allenultra.

usually the SC will change it immediately during service.. without noticing the client.. when they change, they will change all.. they will not give a notice or what so ever..

Just sharing some info bila tanya2 some bengkel
EB CFETurbo ni leh pasang NGV, pakai GN Group NGV Kit (Argentina) - sequential
Price also depend on where you wanna put the tank, either atas (inside) or bawah(spare tyre area)
Usually exora use top tank 77ltr. Cost around RM3950, if use below around RM4800 (40ltrx2)

EB non turbo use OMVL (Italy)
Bigas also can be use but "tak cukup power"
JPJ Puspakom no issue they said.
They will lock speed on gas <120kmh, more than 120 the ecu turn to petrol (unless owner taknak)

thats for today
*
OMVL can also use at CFE turbo..
