Well, l,m not sure this topic has been discuss before or not.

For a good ICE system, l know a good sound proff is a must for our local made car. blush.gif

As l know, there is Dynamat, Lightning Audio in the market.

Can anyone list down the price and variety of the sound proff mat here?

door panel, roof top, trunk
- dynamat extreme, dynamat original, sikadamp, raamat, cascade vb2, dead span

under carriage, carpet, wheel arch area
- superlon, insuflex

huh.. got like tht one ah? why le? cuz or the heat resistant izzit? dunno anything about it cuz never use... but got plan to use... as the door panel is giving me a big headache...

I oso plan to soundproof my wira leh...
Maybe add a bit to the bonnet, doors, boot (if its Necessary)

How much wud it cost?
Need to add to the roof and the floor as well?

Is it a DIY thing? or u need to send to shops? smile.gif

l plan to go for door panel and boot 1st. if budget do allow, of course l want to sound proff my whole car.

Btw, how much is dynamat usually cost? Coz the shop seem want to potong me....

(dynamat extreme) RM 700-RM800 9pcs
(dynamat original) RM500-600 9pcs (price will be rm200+ for 2 front doors for 2 layer)
Each pc enuf to cover 1 door (18" x 32 around 36 sq ft)

sikadamp 360 - RM30 per pc
Each door need 3 pcs to cover up

superlon/insuflex
rm20+ for 1 m²

*price above is quoted by my installer last time, price may differ time to time, diff place,installer give diff price...so it's juz a rough guessing

added: Can be DIY for front doors and rear trunks easily
even DIY for floor board is not so difficult...depends on ur tools and ur patience
Price given is excluded for installation

trunk, roof top - block the low notes to go outside the car, if use superlon/insuflex the low notes will be absorb
door panel - again as a sound blocker, this sheets will seal the door panel..and make the door as a virtual enclosure..thus better mid bass effect

under carriage, carpet, wheel arch area
- superlon, insuflex
* a sound absorber, abosrb all the road noises, engine noises

if u wan soundproof, then forget about superlon...superlon are good in heat insulation..no good in soundproof..
use those kapas under ur carpet..those are really good...u can get it in acc shop..but it's not cheap

Luckily l asked you. Else l already kena potong. 1 shop quote me 1K for the dynamat. Extreme or original also not comfirm. sweat.gif vmad.gif

If Dynamat original 1 box for RM500 is quite ok. But ur price i in Miri right?

acc shop can get that kapas thing? mebbe i should give it a try.
my rear doors rattling cos of my mid bass' . need to do semething, the cheaper the better. lol.
