Q4 house price index is out already, most states recorded increase in price. Selangor is the state with decrease prices in all categories.

In Q4 2012, the yearly movement of Terraced House Price Index in most states increased except for Terengganu (-2.7%), Perlis (-0.8%) and Kelantan (-0.5%). Sabah recorded the highest increase of 23.5%. Selangor, Johor and Pulau Pinang recorded increases at 9.1%, 8.1% and 7.5% respectively.
The quarterly movement of Terraced House Price Index in nine states increased between 0.6% (Kuala Lumpur) and 7.3% (Sarawak). Sabah noted highest increase at 5.8%. Increases were observed in Kuala Lumpur (0.6%) and Johor (1.5%). On the other hand, slight decreases were observed in Pulau Pinang (-5.0%) and Selangor (-5.6%).

In Q4 2012, the yearly movements in most states moved upward except for Sabah (-11.2%). Negeri Sembilan recorded the highest increase of 17.0%. These were followed by Pulau Pinang (13.9%), Selangor (11.9%), Kuala Lumpur (8.2%) and Johor (3.2%).
With respect to the quarterly movement, more states recorded upward trends except for the state of Sabah (-10.1), Selangor (-4.4%) and Johor (-2.3). Negeri Sembilan recorded the highest increase of 10.7%. Marginal increases were observed in Pulau Pinang (3.3%) and Kuala Lumpur (0.1%)

In Q4 2012, the yearly index movement in most states indicated an upward trend. Melaka recorded increases at 17.9%, followed by Pulau Pinang (16.8%), Sarawak (14.5%), and Pahang (13.4%). However, five
states noted downward movement, including Johor (-4.1%), Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (both at -0.7%).
Against the previous quarter of Q3 2012, Index showed upward movements in nine states. The highest increase was evident in Kuala Lumpur at 15.0% and followed by Pulau Pinang at 8.6%. Four states noted decreases including Johor (-7.2%) and Selangor (-0.9%).

In Q4 2012, ten states recorded upward trend from the corresponding Quarter in 2011. Increases were registered in Sabah (34.7%), Kuala Lumpur (31.6%) and Johor (12.4%). Selangor observed increases of 2.8%. On the other hand, three states noted downward trend including Pulau Pinang, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang at 17.0%, 12.7% and 2.7% respectively.
The Index showed upward movements in four states against the previous quarter. The highest increase was evident in Sarawak at 16.9% followed by Kuala Lumpur at 5.6%. However, other states noted decreases including
Selangor (-6.6%), Johor (-3.1%) and Pulau Pinang ( - 0 .7 % ) .
