Thank you, bro. I went for the xlens btw, and it seems as though when zoomed all the way out (42mm), the resulting picture is not as sharp as I thought it should be? Anyone else facing this problem?

I've been playing around with smaller cameras of late; always find dslr too bulky to lug around, especially when traveling.

there are good and bad about the power zoom, maybe the is issue have you tried with and without is on? i would not call sharp but the 20, 25, 45 prime give you hd..high definition..one thing i luv most about this m43 is 40150mm lens, its light and itd ready when you need it. cannot find equivalent in dslr. btw i still live with my twin kit lens.

Yes its the lens quality.. all pana x 14-42 powerzoom facing this problem.. Its not sharp at the long end.. But the non x lens like normal pana 1442 is very good and sharp..

Yes, I'm actually quite horrified. Sample pic below.

Given, FB deteriorates the image quality, but this is still pretty bad. Any known fixes for this, or will I have to get the 1442 without powerzoom instead?

Also - I need to find a filter to cut down the reflection from cars. Is there any CPL filter that would fit my lens? Any advice appreciated.

its best for you to test n see the difference between the lens, if you already have cpl just buy step up ring would do. the new 1442 now smaller and slightly better, but not sure already out or not.

No shoots coming up in the next few days. Will definitely try it out very soon. Not yet brought it out for some street snaps, due to bad weather (although tonight was actually very clear).

Any recommended lens for GF2 with standard pancake 14mm lens?

Am looking for portrait lens better than existing pancake and also occasionally walkabout lens for scenery etc.
