QUOTE(ykgen @ Apr 10 2013, 12:33 AM) SCV issue no Check Engine Light... no advance warning except for sudden power loss. CEL will light up is MAP sensor kaput... just like my case... halfway driving to KL city via NKVE and suddenly, CEL came up and at least 50% power loss. Had to stop at rest stop to check... found vacuum hose to MAP sensor came loose. After replace with new hose, same problem. Reset with Bluetooth ODB also same. Conclusion... MAP sensor kaput. There goes another RM 600 bucks into the drain. This post has been edited by acbc: Apr 28 2013, 08:25 PM

If this 4D56 engine kaput again... will throw away and replace with YD25 from Nissan Navara - good time since loan installment only left 3 more months.

QUOTE(Poodlepaddly @ May 12 2013, 09:47 PM) Just a tip for all 4w drivers. You should change your black oil every 5k milleage regardless of how long it is indicated on the black oil label. Those printed label that says up to 10k km, trust me it is not good for your ride in the long run if you really drove up to 10k km before changing. You can still use those 10k km milleage black oil, but change at every 5k. True. After hitting 7000km, can feel truck sluggish on highway. After changing oil, power came back.

Update after SCV upgrade. Seems performance is quite good. Better than stock previously. And this week, I got over 650km @ RM 110 for 60% highway and 40% city.
And sadly... I may have to give up this truck soon. Moving to Phnom Penh for business permanently. I wonder how much does a late 2007 going for these days? Apart from SCV, I have HIDs, new shocks and electric Aeroklas deck installed. Paintjob is so-so because I don't really like exterior mods.

QUOTE(chinleong @ May 26 2013, 09:48 PM) Bro, mind sharing how much does it cost to upgrade the SCV? TQ If using stock SCV from Mitsu, should be around RM 600 just for SCV only. Installation is DIY. If u want DMAX SCV, slightly higher at RM 650 but can last longer. My stock Mitsu SCV kaput in Apr this year. Only changed last year during Hari Raya. Mitsu make shitty parts these days.

QUOTE(chinleong @ May 26 2013, 10:04 PM) Just curious, under what circumstances we should upgrade the SCV? My 1-month old Triton VGT hardly hit 400km for RM100 tank of diesel, 100% city drive at Kota Kinabalu. Is this FC consider normal? VGT have higher FC due to extra power... can't compare with older non-VGT. 400km in city is consider normal. Upgrade SCV when your stock one going to kaput or u willing to try something new and fresh.

QUOTE(de_moschino @ Jun 4 2013, 03:50 PM) Do we need to modify DMAX SCV to fit into our ride? Yes if your stock SCV kaput in less than a year. No if your truck still ok.

Anyone looking for a 2007 Triton AT please PM me. I'm selling because moving to Cambodia permanently for business.
Basic mods:
1. Motorized boot lid by Aeroklas 2. H4 hi-lo HIDs 3. Air horn (twin) 4. Turbo timer 5. Door visors 6. Body wrap by Aeroklas 7. COB interior lights 8. Stainless steel turbo pipe from intercooler to intake manifold 9. Cat removed 10. Bug guard (front) 11. Isuzu DMAX SCV - solve the pesky SCV clogged issue 12. Heavy duty suspension - upgraded while in Thailand
Mine used mostly for work but only in cities and only once driven to Yala, Thailand (no worries, despite the gunfights, no bullet holes found)
Suitable for work. If u want comfort, advice to swap out the heavy duty shocks for stock.
Paint work still ok only minor scratches. Windscreen has 1 crack but will replace.
Nice number plate - came out in Magnum and Toto many times but I don't buy numbers.
I'm going to miss the truck. Really worth driving one for 5 years. Maintenance actually cheaper than my smart forfour for same period!

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 14 2013, 05:26 PM) which truck replaced it? i'm waiting patiently for the next generation triton to come out, which i think won't be long - considering how MMM is coming out with many variations of the existing triton, which looks like an inventory clearing exercie No more truck. Will be using my smart forfour from now onwards. Frugal yet powerful.

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 14 2013, 08:00 PM) fu... that's a compact car. a very compact car. yup. even frugal than my bike. Cute, agile and fast... already installed Titan and moved all my sound system from Triton to smart. Only problem is flooded roads. With Triton, I just need to cross it. With smart, need to find another route.
