With that said, your contacts are not suppose to sync unless u manually press them.

To get rid of your sis contacts.
1) Manually backup her contacts to sd internal or external. In contacts app, select to only show contacts from her account and back it up
2) Then just delete her contacts from your account.
3) If her contact really also ter-delete, restore it back from her manual backup.

lol... good leh... but i'm too lazy to benchmark and wait for 4 days to break the current record holder tongue.gif
my hand just too itchy with the charger (mostly the usb cable from my laptop) hahaha

i'm in progress understanding how to recompile kernel as i dont like the current power saving mode freq which set at 1GHz and it's hardcoded within the kernel sourcecode...  sweat.gif
*
Faster go make a kernel. I got features i wanna add. tongue.gif

QUOTE(sklchan @ Mar 27 2013, 02:54 PM)
yes, it's major for no. of cores been active during power saving mode, as of current if we really want to limit to dual cores during power saving mode then we only have option to set the hotplug for 3rd and 4th core to 1100MHz with both 1st and 2nd cores freq limit to 1GHz max, this is good when "if" you're more on permanent power saving mode user but it's not the case if you want performance as when you set the hotplug to 1100MHz mean during in non power saving mode this will impact the smoothness of the device as it ONLY will turn on the 3rd and 4th cores when the first 2 cores reach 1100MHz which is already kind of late to turn on and sure it will impact the smoothness during scalling up...  sweat.gif

so if the kernel able to mods its power saving mode freq down from 1GHz to let say 400MHz then this will make the phone run on max 400MHz dual cores when in power saving mode (of cause we still have to study the optimum freq as i think 400MHz dual cores will sux big time tongue.gif ) but if we do able to do that mean your hotplug criteria for 3rd and 4th cores can remain as 400MHz, 500MHz, 600MHz (of cause need study futher for optimum range) respectively which mean u will get maximum power saving when in saver mode and get smooth performance when you're out of saver mode...  nod.gif
*
How do you want to define when to use power saving mode? If your concern is to reduce cpu speed /core when low batt or screen off, why dun u just use one of those cpu apps and setup profiles to change governor settings so it will run at low speed or low number of cores when you want to.

hehe, now u say it i do have once cpu freeze when i switch the governor... so governor switching is unreliable for fast action...  doh.gif

If you ask me, if you want profiles and stuff to change with screen on and off, you can use script. Its low footprint and no app need to run.

You can try pikachu's thunderbolt screenstate scaling. (fellow Malaysian by the way)

Script is fun. tongue.gif But nowadays lazy to use it cos got all these apps around.

For complex script, you can edit in the pc (bigger screen less mistakes). Recommend Notepad++ on PC. To run script on your device you can try script manager app, reliable and you can edit script on the go as well.

You can also contact pikachu, friendly and helpful guy.

Edit: btw u can also contact him here on lowyat

For info on those corrupted sandisk card, a quote from our fav kernel maker andreilux
QUOTE(AndreiLux;39537243)
This is caused by bad quality SD cards. SanDisk already admitted it as a failure on their side.

I've already spent countless methods in trying to debug and fix it. I solved it by buying a new card.

If andrei cannot fix it on kernel side it really seems like a sandisk issue. shakehead.gif

Lol-ed from his skills in tweaking those obscure items, i'm sure we will have a LYN-optimized setting soon...

on the sampling front, i wonder if taking more samples means (directly linearly) affecting battery life (similar to a person speaking to many other people in a survey?) or does changing the sample size from the normal 30 nos to let's say 10, result in a direct (although microscopic) battery savings of around 66% (for that particular task)??

or is simply UV-ing it a more "wholesale" approach to battery savings

there's only so much you can UV until your chip (which i believe the tolerence / quality of each and every chip is different - read from AndreiLux @ xda IIRC) cannot be stable at such low voltages... so i think these small but significant changes (besides the criteria for core on / off) will help in the overall reduction of battery usage!

then we will have a highly efficient (not a battery savings profile but not a blood sucking performance based one) settings profile that will be easy to use and follow?

i wonder if stweaks has a profile that you can save and distribute so that others may tweak it more easily (instead of manually pushing those "knobs" on the cpu and gpu especially).

another thing, do you think that messing about and tweaking the memory has much help in performance / efficiency?
*
/data/.perseus/default.profile --> this is the file for your settings in stweaks with perseus that other can use directly by placing in the same folder and reboot.

WARNING!!
best if you remove any UV if you wanna distribute that file in case the UV does not work on other device and ended up cannot boot. whistling.gif

For those concerned about screen wake lag:

if you've not read it already.
*
You will have a permanent wakelock after that. The screen wake lag is fixed by not letting the device sleep.

Hm i just noticed, whenever i flashed custom rom based on stock rom (Emotion Note II, Du@lnote, Omega) i can't turn my wifi at all. It stuck at the first startup wizard upon first boot (select language, turning on wifi, connect to gmail etc) showing "Turning on....."

So i skipped the process, leaving the wifi off, from terminal emulator i run dmesg to check for any hardware activity/message but could not find anything related to wireless interface.

But the wifi is working if i use CM based rom
*
Weird. U using the kernel that comes with the rom? I see you already wipe data.... try wiping system partition then only flash a new rom.
