1. Brand: Lumia/android

2. Budget: <1k

3. Specs: Super battery life, more RAM and CPU

4. Type/Size. : >4"

now using moto g 1st gen, couldn't stand the heat of the phone while using to browse the internet and its already laggy.

I already looked for reviews of lumia 640 but the camera quality favors my moto g more and the specs are about the same. May I know which phone to choose within my budget?

my usage of the phones is surfing internet, WhatsApp, some games

Below RM1k, got so many good ones. Lumia 640 XL camera not good? Then can go for Meizu M1 Note. Best among them would be Huawei Honor 6.

1. Brand : Samsung

I'm looking at the S6 Edge only at the moment.
Coming from a OnePlus 64GB. I've barely used even a little, however that's running cyanogen, hence not much bloatwares and all those when compared to Samsung. (i.e. I have 50 GB space remaining at the moment).
I was wondering if the 32GB variant of the Edge would be sufficient as I would not want to fork out an additional 64GB if I don't have plans for it. For ex/current samsung users, would the 32GB be sufficient for future updates?

2. I was wondering is there a price list of some sort I could use for reference. A price list+ a recommended place for purchase other than telco's would be great.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to inquire, I've tried the Android thread but there was no reply from the users.
If there's a thread I can refer to, could I get the link as well. That would be great.
Thanks in advance.  smile.gif

3. Specs: Good rear camera, 2GB ram or more, battery life at least one full day.

Note: Tried the zenfone 2 and don't like the camera, not natural enough.

Question: At the moment, is the oneplus one still a good phone to buy seeing that it's more than a year since it launched. It's the one I'm leaning towards now.

is it cheaper you buy online? why not get it from maxis or directd? save the hassle, if price similar.

so you're looking for branded ones, then can go for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Motorola Nexus 6 or Nokia Lumia 1520.

I'm currently using Galaxy Note 2 and I think it's about time I get a new phone as my phone is getting slower after the kit kat update

so I'm looking for some recommendation.

Brand - any as long as it runs on Android
Budget - preferably not more than 2k
Specs -
I rarely use my phone to make calls, mostly just using whatsapp, email, and other messaging apps as well as for navigation using waze
Most of the time I use my phone is to surf the internet and watch videos so I prefer a large screen with very good display, good contrast, deep black, not so reflective screen
Other than that, I use my phone to take pics, so a good camera that can produce sharp pic would be appreciated and a memory card slot

Type/size - I prefer large screen but not too large as I have small hands, probably around the size like my current Galaxy Note 2
owh and I don't like round edges phone, I prefer prefect rectangle ones tongue.gif and one that comes with gold color laugh.gif but anyway just throw in the recommendations, ignore that last condition of my picky self tongue.gif

Hello all, I'm looking to get a smartphone for my dad to replace his faulty Lumia 525. I'm looking for something along the lines of:

1. Brand - Any brand is okay, but it needs to be running Android, preferably as close to stock as possible (my dad currently owns a Nexus tablet so the UI will be familiar to him).
2. Budget - Not more than 1.2k.
3. Specs - Not too sure about the current specs for this price range, but higher would obviously be better. A decent battery and camera would be nice.
4. Type/Size - Prefer to avoid very large devices if possible. May make an exception if the specs-to-price ratio is tempting.
