Asus Zenfone C ZC415CG 16GB - any comment? Lazada sell around RM380, worth or not?
i want use it for Uber Partner App + Waze, that is about it... nothing more.
will this phone serve the purpose or got cheaper phone to recommend that can serve the above purpose?
*
Generally the 2GB RAM variant of the Zenfone C should do okay based on your usage, but expect some shortcomings, especially in the CPU and the GPU. In my opinion should worth as long you didn't do a lot of heavy gaming in it.

QUOTE(bernardryan @ Oct 6 2015, 01:39 PM)
1. Brand. = please suggest, have been looking at Galaxy A5 and Xperia M5
2. Budget. = around RM 1500
3. Specs. = good battery life, at least 2gb ram and decently fast
4. Type/Size. = Mainstream brands,for 60+ yr old.

Upgrading from Samsung Galaxy s3.

Use mainly for whatsapp(a lot of groups), yahoo email, phone, YouTube and Internet browsing.
*
Given the fact that you are going to buy a phone for a 60+ years old user, a bigger screen should be ideal. For that, I think you should consider having Lenovo Phab, Samsung Galaxy A7 and Sony Xperia Z2. You can also opt for Sony Xperia M5, but avoid the A5. You could have bought a Snapdragon 410-clad phone at a lower price. And also, almost all of the phone listed here will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so keep an eye for it later.

You can get a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime or an Asus Zenfone C with 2 GB RAM. Just bear in mind that you could have gotten better offering with the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced.

which is better ? asus zenfone 2(2gb ram)  or lenovo k3 note ?  in term of performance?
*
If you are asking for gaming and browsing performance, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML/ZE551ML (2 GB RAM) is your choice. But if raw power is your choice, the Lenovo K3 Note is better.

User =  He is my uncle with only do whapApps, sms, phone calls. So all these camera, cpu performance, storage wont matter to him. He just want a cheapest phone to can do all those 3 functions.

QUOTE(YowaYowa @ Oct 16 2015, 12:45 AM)
Hi, I water damaged my last phone (iphone 5), can't connect to the network but other functions such as wifi and camera works, it has become an ipod technically. To repair would cost me RM500 (changing the motherboard) so I think I would buy another phone to satisfy my need to use my phone as a phone. Currently using iphone 3gs (the antique) but the lag omg.

1. Brand: Not iphone because it is way over my budget
2. Budget: Under RM500. but I guess I could stretch it if it is a good phone, completely replacing my old phone smile.gif
3. Specs: Not sure but I cannot stand any lag and battery life must last at least a full day. Don't care for the camera functions, I won't use it for gaming apps too, just need to be able to call, type nicely without lag, whatsapp, waze, texting, quickly searching things on the web.
4. Type/Size: Preferably small. iPhone 5 is a great size. My hands are too small and clumsy to use a big phone.
PS if anyone knows where to fix my iphone at a cheaper price, I would be very grateful.

Looking forward to the recommendation. Thanks!

Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. I prefer the Xiaomi Redmi 2 as it has a better value to price. Still, it's up to you.

how much is this thing?
*
Checked this thing on Lazada and this is around RM 317. Would you mind if there is only 4 GB of ROM? Because I might worry there is not enough storage. If it is, then go for Lenovo A850i for RM 339- only problem is that it has Android 4.2.

1. Any brand except Lenova
2. +- 650

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (you need to shell out extra RM 20, but I think it would be worth it)

P.S: It's Lenovo, not Lenova.

Looking for a phone below RM500, which one is better: Redmi vs Asus Zenfone 5?
*
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced. It has the latest processor (Snapdragon 410) compared to the Zenfone 5 (Atom Z2560) and also it has less bloatware (bloatware slows down the phone).

Asus Zenpad 8.0 (ZE380KL)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S (8.0)- note: it's imported and you may need to add RM 40 to your budget on 1G but it would be worth it.

Trying to get a phone to replace my iPhone 5

Brand - Any except Lenovo
Spec : good camera , with good performance
Budget : 800-1.5k
What I have in mind : Honor 7 & MeiZu Mx5

Additional Question :
1-Where can i find a store to hands on meizu phone ?
2-I saw Vivo Y27 (older model - MYR800) looks good .. Any opinion ?
3-It seems Oppo and Vivo not favor by all the sensei here , Mi is receiving good response , MeiZu in market is not quite well known , but everyone in here heard of it .. Any particular reason ?

Thanks thanks
*
Meizu MX5 is better than the Honor 7. Another phone that is quite comparable with the MX5 is the Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML, 4 GB variant).

1. Not sure if there's one, but chances are that there aren't one.
2. Not even close there compared to the ones above.
3. Well Vivo and Oppo is only recommended if you're into photos and style. For the other one, I am not too sure about it.

I am choosing between Zenfone 5 (LTE) vs Zenfone Go (HSPA)

So my main concern is actually the LTE vs HSPA.
I am using Celcom basic plan, do you guys think I will really notice huge difference on internet speed?
I am not even sure how's LTE coverage in Malaysia right now. I am currently stationed in Penang.

Well, other thing is, it will be either 2nd-hand Zenfone 5 LTE or first-hand Zenfone Go.
*
I guess you have LTE there, so go with the LTE variant of the Zenfone 5 if you aren't worried about having an outdated CPU.
