it wont work... SP9201DAF aka ADSL splitter filter + lightning protection...
if signal come for analog telephone, means the signal filter into analog interface only from SP9201DAF to increase the efficiency... and the analog signal doesnt no serve the broadband modem (digital)...

anyway, i did another diagram according to your requirements but still no recommended unless u re-setup your connection to increase the protection level...

seem still no so recommended to use ARD for analog and digital devices at the same time, worry that ur modem connection may no that stable while using telephone... hence the ARD support the broadband up to 512kbps... only DSL or DAF version able support up to 1mbps and above...

anyway i did consult with cal-lab yesterday, if u insist to use 2 TNB sources from 2 different wall socket and 2 cal-lab power module, u need additional module to protect lan cable bcos if used 2 power module it considered as 2 different island...
user posted image

if u accept for 1 TNB source only, it means 1 island only require to protect, u can use Twin Power Pack (combination of 2 unit SLMS2+3)...

hi, i cant connect the telekom line to SP9201DAF but instead go through phone1 split to phone 2 and then adsl spliter then to SP9201DAF? really not possible to from telekom to SP9201DAF coz the phone 1 (telekom main point) is at downstairs while phone 2 and SP9201DAF will be at upstairs, unless i change the telephone point to phone 2. (issit possible to ask telekom technician to change the point?)

Note: ur PC were normal spec right? no those high performance PC which required high voltage?

hi~

I need a lightning isolator which can use for 2 computers and modem and telephone line.

Which model do u recommend me to buy?

By the way, the price you offer here is same with some outlet in east malaysia or not?

Added on October 6, 2009, 1:40 amWhat do you mean by "Lifetime Exchange-replacement @ RM25"?

I can change it after i use it for years if i find out it doesnt function well?

So, if the lightning strike, the surge is too powerful and it burn lightning isolator , will it burn my computer as well?

if all of ur equipments located within the same room...
and no telephone nearby and "further" PC to PC networking (to different room with distance)...
u can use IT Pack or combination of MDSC0039 + SP9201DSL...

u can change it once u found it no longer working in any kind for conditions (minor or major)...
Cal-Lab will restore the unit by paying around RM25 and courier it to Muar HQ for restoration even though u used the unit more than 10 years or more, no new unit required to purchase after the unit damaged after some years...

the Cal-Lab will "self-suicide" (burn PCB or components) if the detected surge was too huge to overcome (isolate) within the safety range and ensure your equipments under the working condition... of cos it depend on your installation too, wrong installation will lead the back surge toward ur equipments too even though protecting by Cal-Lab...

my 2 computers are just side by side,
these two computers share the same streamyx modem(4 ports),
last time my motherboard was damaged through the yellow cable which connected from modem.
So is the IT Pack suitable to avoid this situation and protect my computers as well?

Now still have 10% discount for above RM79?

Is it necessary to buy RM10 insurance?

What are Restored Units?

Thank you.

here ur installation diagram... u must follow 100% same exactly ensure the protection level...
user posted image

IT pack recommended retail price was RM123...

insurance were optional for all the units, as long as ur installation was done correctly, nothing much to worry...
hence insurance doesnt cover the wrong installation which the surge bypass from other sources...

restored unit is working unit but come with used physical casing..

This is a free bump and recommendation of this seller.

I was at a wrong for over-napping on the appointed time but Gan thankfully understood and still agreeed to deal with me at a later time. He even have a follow up PM to ensure i have set Cal-Labs properly.

I wish him all the best in his business and will most likely deal with him for more Cal-Labs.

I'm in the process of wiring for my new house. Looking for good lighting insulator and found this thread.

All of this is in my living room, please advice which model I should get:

1. LCD TV (3-pin)
2. Speaker (2-pin)
3. HTPC (3-pin)
4. Wireless broadband router (2-pin)
5. Phone
6. Astro (2-pin)

and probably will add some ht stuff (bd player, avr etc).
Looking for one model can suit all the connection and ask the electrical man to 'tanam' inside the wall/

Hi gkl83,
I'm moving into setia alam soon and plan to do a complete surge protection in my living room. Do you offer free consultation on site? Will this cal-lab protects the equipment if there is a power surge from the incoming TNB power source out there (voltage fluctuation)??

if all the required equipments located the same place and no other equipments involved into...

for tel module, SP9201DAF is a must aka ADSL Spliter Filter...
and the power module u can look at MDSC0039, SLMS2+3 or Twin Power Pack...
here the example below:

if no PC to PC networking (your router connected more than 2 PCs) and no telephone nearby...
u can use SF9512DSL, SF9512DSL MS2+3 or SF9812DSL...

i will available at around Renaissance Hotel this saturday night for COD... smile.gif

yup, cal-lab can protection against the over voltage from TNB... smile.gif
but if u means the instability from TNB, Cal-Lab doesnt have the feature which worked as AVR...

i can provide on-site consultation or arrange cal-lab staffs to attend... anyway, cal-lab's setup wasn't a rocket science and easy for users to do installation... assumed i installed for you but u no understand how it work, and in between u plugged equipments which no proposed earlier during my installation, it may cause the back surge too due to your "human error", it happened on previous experiences which cal-lab engineers installed for customers and certified, but customer plugged additional equipments onto their setup when time being and caused back surge...

the most important is users need to understand and to be educate how Cal-Lab can protect ur equipments efficiently without any back surge from other sources, even though installed additional equipments on your current setup you will able to identify whether there have the risk without my consultation... otherwise even u used the MOST expensive or MOST efficient lightning protector against lightning but wrong setup, i can ensure that definitely your equipments still in the risk... smile.gif

This set up is fully protected right? What is the difference between STV9622M2+3FC and STV9622M2+3 (without the FC). Please pm me best price for this model and also one more module for stand alone fridge.

It means SKPXDSL module dead inside your SF9812DSL...
u can plug a telephone onto SF9812DSL in order to double confirm the SKPXDSL dead...
if SKPXDSL dead, u will hear buzz tone instead normal dial tone...

u can unscrew both screws on the tel module, u will found a SKPXDSL inside... u can unplug it easily with finger... but worry that the small PCB which attach with SKPXDSL may damaged too, recommended u bring along the whole SF9812DSL unit to Cal-Lab show room which located at Bandar Utama, they will to full check up whether other parts effected or not after the lightning strike...

the replacement cost of SKPXDSL just cost u RM10 and saved your equipments... smile.gif

FYI, SFTV9622FC model doesnt designed for broadband connection, ONLY for telephone connection...
u will facing the difficulties of connection stability and speed later...

since u using telephone and modem, that the reasons SP9201DAF tel module is a must...
i require to check with cal-lab if you tended ALL IN ONE version (power, astro, telephone & modem) which required to be customize, but at the moments don't have yet as i know...

in additional, where u got STV9622M2+3 without FC (astro)?
i dont think Cal-Lab have such models yet to protect power, telephone and antenna only if no remember wrong...

accordingly to your setup, SP9201DAF (for telephone and modem) and MDSC0039FC (for power and astro) is the best combination for your current setup...

as for the fridge, SC0039 (for power only) is your best choice... but still recommended to check with your manual book about your fridge's spec... Cal-Lab devices support up to 2000W only which equivalent to 1HP air con and worrying that your fridge may high power consumption and overloaded SC0039...
