if u using 3G wireless router for ur PC only...
no tel cable involved in your PC setup and don't have other PCs connected to ur router via wired lan cable...

you can protect ur PC for power source by using MDSC0039, SLMS4 (multi socket version) or Twin Power Pack (multi socket version)

SLMS2+3 no longer in production, replaced by SLMS4 which have 4*3pin

there have no different by using normal multiple socket, as long as protected equipments must locate side by side with cal-lab unit then should be fine.

yes, it is a MUST to understand your equipment setup before asking for suggestion...
all the sources of equipment setup MUST be filter thru lightning protector as surge can come from EVERYWHERE...

even MOST expensive lightning protector still a junk too if just purely partial protection / wrong protector installation, so Cal-Lab won't responsible for such incidents which is caused by the end user's faults...

if you asking for compensation, u can go for Belkin which covered with insurance as u paying with higher price for insurance coverage... For Cal-Lab doesn't required end user to pay for insurance coverage (no compensation provided) as it was efficient enough to protect equipments if the end users follow our recommendation exactly...

FYI, quite number of Belkin user at LYN switched to Cal-Lab due to their *ahem* protection level provided... hence, i sold Cal-Lab more than 6 years at LYN and sold to 300 users+, almost ZERO complaints about the Cal-Lab's performance except the wrong Cal-Lab installation with wrong models / location, otherwise i won't sustain at LYN for so long... you can refer to Post#2 for more performance comparison as feedback by end-users...

I was trying to find a Belkin surge protector in the trade zone until I found this thread, and damn it sure is hard to understand where to start and what to buy.

So basically I need to something to protect my whole internet life (pc, router, unifi stb, printer, ps3, monitor, xbox) and I'm trying to find something like the 8outlet Belkin surge protector. I tried going through the product list and the Cal-Lab website itself (gosh its horrible btw. Its like kids on acid learning HTML), but I still don't get it.

So could I humbly ask for some advise. Do I need to get just one of those 1outlet protector + my own elcheapo 8outlet socket or what? I'd really appreciate some help. icon_question.gif
