is the exam hard? one draw back i understand from going to island or a vacation place is the time constraint.. like if fail exam, then more time going to be spend retaking it..
*
Check if you have the option to take the course through e-learning. I did that and would recommend it. It is sad to cram coursework on the island, rather than just relaxing smile.gif

So is there a meet up during MIDE?

I will be there on Saturday.
The PADI member update should finish by 12pm.
*
Do you have any place in mind to meet up? We were planning to meet at The Mall but it is closed for renovation.

Hey people, I just bought a new fin from mide, does anyone know where can test it out? I mean the public pool that allows fins...
*
A dude at the Bangsar community pool told me it's ok to fin during quiet hours, but I haven't tried it yet.

Great investment  rclxms.gif  I wonder about the Hollis fins, is it stiff like jetfin?
*
No idea.. I just bought these! But for sure these are much lighter than the jetfins.

Dilemma...  casio gshock rm300+ or suunto zoop rm750 for new diver like me?
*
The G-shock isn't built to dive standards, so it's a gamble whether it keeps water out at depth.

Just took the F2 for a wet run today at the pool.

I can't comment how they feel as I don't have any other fin to compare with (the splits are with mrs at the moment).

But now I know that when I wobble when flutter kicking, it's due to my bad technique and not because of the scuba gear.

Flutter kick on my back and seems like a good way to train strength/stamina, flutter kick underwater facing down to train stability, and breaststroke to train frog kick.

so did you get cramp?  whistling.gif let's exchange fin... btw on the surface and underwater is totally different... you need to try when u/w
*
No cramp, but that's probably because I only had 30 minutes to spend in the water before it closed sweat.gif I keep forgetting the opening hours.

Do you mean underwater as in under water, or in deep water? When I practiced just now I maintained my fins under water.

Will be booking a session with Sea Monkey to test the rest of the stuff (mask and dive comp).

Spent 30 minutes waiting for the server to reboot? No wonder they say people in the IT line have a lot of free time...
