Equipment tested and no such problem. MRS+ system is sturdy enough, never budge abit even after 9 dives. Unless you pull it put.

Hi guys,

I'll be going to Tioman for my OWD certification trip. Should I be excited or nervous as I've never been to Tioman before, and any advise that could prepare me for my certification trip?

Thanks.

Regards,
DANIAL

My instructor is Christopher. He's kinda a nice and a cool guy to hang out. Sandflies, i guess had to stay on the land should be better.  biggrin.gif
Well, we will be departing this Friday early in the morning, as in like 1a.m and return to KL by Sunday evening. biggrin.gif
Thanks for the advise, I guess I just should anticipate the underwater environment by myself while I was tioman this weekend. biggrin.gif

hmm... Christopher from where ah? maybe is the Christopher that i know brows.gif

hmm, how about luxury bag? i didn't got tax if i talk nicely with the officer... drool.gif

QUOTE(Putraskyline @ Jul 23 2013, 01:49 PM)
Some of my friends get taxed for regulator.
*
recently just bought a reg, didn't got tax also... whistling.gif

QUOTE(chastise @ Jul 23 2013, 01:55 PM)
That's very unlucky because regs are exempted.

Customs will detain the goods due to high value but you just need to head to their office to declare the goods and you are good to go. Around RM30 for the papers.

Those who want specific tariff code can PM me.
*
so far no matter what diving eq i bought from overseas didn't got tax, the only thing i got tax is the bag that i bought in from US. if i put my diving stuff in the bag, my bag didn't got tax. maybe is so lucky... whistling.gif

I dun mean this forum.... I meant long time ago when scuba community is small and everybody are very friendly towards each other.... now I notice lodsa back-stabbings and rumors everywhere.... instructor/dm/dive centers bad mouth each other.... sad....
*
oh... i thought you mean this forum... well... those instructor/dm/dive center have to learn to accept the fact that the diving industry is growing... is a good sign... they have to face their competitors the right way... back-stabbings and rumors is everywhere not only in diving industry... so its time for them to realize criticism and to change... and of course those that survive those criticism are those that are doing quite well...

I made specific reference to the "SO WHAT" if customs are looking attitude.
Many declared bringing in items and got away scot-free

Anyway, as stated many times. My goal is to educate the rest.
If you feel you are smart enough, you may ignore my posting.

PS: So equestrian helmet, which is not taxable would be considered an *edited (you written accessory) equipment??? WOW.....
The tax structure is made to fit certain group of peoples.... but I will not a sour grape and harp on this. Which btw is off topic.
*
Yes yes, i know you are trying to educate the rest, but why are you still repeating the same thing? why not try to educate some other thing that we don't know?

ps : there's no way to ignore your post, your post keep on appeared with the same thing over and over again... laugh.gif

yup.... sports eq more expensive.... but apparently they will be kind to your stuff!! won't simply throw it around.... got 'fragile' sticker on it.....
*
i doubt that they will be kind to your stuff... maybe your sport equipment are too heavy to be thrown around...

For airasia, you can check in a sport equipment and a check luggage. which convenience if you are travelling around... oops i mean alone

What to do. The industry is growing and getting more competitive, online shops that ship internationally are easily available and accessible. Hence, people tend to resort to those kinda tricks.

i don't really see any problem with buying your stuff overseas, if they are so called "authorized dealer" in malaysia they should handle anything as long as the equipment carries the brand... if not please do not call themselves as a authorized dealer... so let's say if i buy my stuff locally in malaysia, if i got transfer to US, which mean i have to send back Malaysia for warranty?

I don't think so...

Actually hor.. I also dun understand about these project aware.. if a place really want to promote awareness and help the environment why are they still charging such a price for people to go and work and pick up rubbish while they get sponsorship and so on from certain company.

Its like using people's kindness for a profit. I mean its ok to charge but at least give 50% discount or something la.
*
yalor, they should organize another astro kasih where everything are included hoh? except for the transportation la...

It's up to me how I wanna reply to Evan. None of your business really. This is an open forum.

Others dont even need to understand. Just need to ask me and I'll provide them with the full HS codes.

With my experience with customs, Scuba diving equipment = duty free. Scuba accessories might not. Please understand what's the meaning of equipment and not things that you may convert into become your equipment although it's widely available in dive shops.

Eg. O-rings.

Edited to........ just for fun.

Quoted from someone, if you don't like it you can ignore, but seems that the someone who said it keep on replied to you leh... Maybe he just really cannot lose. Just accept it chastise. Let him win, you can see where is he from right?
