QUOTE(juniorkirk @ Mar 14 2013, 01:48 PM) Its worth the price to pay if you want to dive with sharks, you can see everything in one dive... I have saw like more than 10 sharks in 1 dive in thailand, but its only blacktip shark and it's not really close.. hmm maybe next time I'm gonna try it.. woot? 18c? hahaha crazy cold then..QUOTE(sgojita4 @ Mar 14 2013, 01:54 PM) Sure will do. I will be going there tomoro night.. yeah can bring gf no problem. Even also bringing ur gf friends also no problem Hopefully everything went smooth.. Btw for our trip, can bring gf aa? |

Ps: I just discovered that there is also this programme on Aquarium in Singapore.. Think it's really worth more the price $120 sgd only (around 300rm) compared to klcc 400rm. And in Singapore they have bigger aquarium, so it's really worth it I guess..Then my next trip to singapore I'll dive there hehehe http://www.underwaterworld.com.sg/online-b...the-sharks.html |

I just read some of the article in the first page. There should be correction for Advanced Open Water.
the mandatory courses are Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation. Previously night dives was also mandatory dives, but since 2006 it only became two mandatory courses. |

QUOTE(sgojita4 @ Mar 26 2013, 12:41 AM) Ah yeah, just checked that they dont have malaysia on the shipping listQUOTE(jakesean @ Mar 26 2013, 04:29 AM) looking for one as well.. scubatex selling one at RM4x, and scubasymphony at RM1xx.. so pricey at scubasymphony.. hmm gonna try to lookQUOTE(munkeyflo @ Mar 26 2013, 08:13 AM) It's around that price. Cheapest I've seen is rm4x, ask for discount get rm38 if not mistaken. Using it for my camera as well. Good quality ones will cost rm1xx. hmm is it the one below? (the link that you provided)QUOTE(juniorkirk @ Mar 26 2013, 09:33 AM) dont worry, i'm sure we will be organising another one... I'm looking to find a good quality hook/ring (not plastic) so it will be more durable/ long lastingyou can search scubatex website, last time i remember they brought in those brass type hook, but what for you need those? those for heavy camera so when fighting current it wont break. why are you so interested? you also interested in discovery now? hehe QUOTE(babymiki @ Mar 26 2013, 12:06 PM) the one that you bought, is it plastic clip or stainless steel hook?QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Mar 26 2013, 12:51 PM) The one in the Leisurepro link one is more heavy duty. Normally those cheaper ones use plastic hook only. Like this one. My UW housing doesnt have any place for hook or ring -.- .. so in the end maybe need to use the lanyard to fix it to the retractor (or maybe DIY nylon string?)http://www.scubatexpro.com/proddetail.php?prod=CL1 The important thing is that the hooks/lanyard/ties can hook onto your camera housing properly. Or else no point also if you get a heavy duty one. Some housing got no place to hook wan, some got small hole to hook only, some got bigger space to hook. |

QUOTE(juniorkirk @ Mar 27 2013, 12:16 AM) really? I believe plastic after a while, it will become brittle, especially if not protected.. but yeah, maybe I need to see first the quality of the build. I'm just afraid that it's easily break (you can read lots of people losing its camera because the plastic breaks)QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Mar 27 2013, 12:41 AM) Mine is two side also plastic hook. If not mistaken, I got it from Global scuba (the one inside 1u's sun paradise) for RM38 or so. My camera not very big so it works fine for me. hmm.. maybe you can bring it in the next TT? for me to see what it's like. because seeing is believing |

QUOTE(jerry88 @ Apr 15 2013, 09:41 PM) Hello everyone! I have not been scuba diving for long time now. Now waiting to get back to the underwater world. Has anybody been to Redang and Perhentian? Which has a better dive site? If I am going to Perhentian (i intend to take up Advanced course), which are the dive sites I must not miss? Hi jerry88, we are going to perhentian 24 may. maybe you could join us if you'd like. but frankly I'm not sure if there is place left or not, but juniorkirk or munkeyflo can confirm that. I've never been to perhentian or redang, so I can't give any comment about it |

QUOTE(devilkid84 @ Apr 21 2013, 09:33 PM) i more worry about the pressure in my ears cos make me pain.. just try to keep equalizing every time, like every half meter or a meter when going down..i can't imagine if without the reference line to hold while descent. i mean for newbie really depend on reference line to descent slowly, second can hold tight against strong current. |
