US has an IP block on us. You can get pass this block but there are chances of getting those services indefinitely banned, and your machine banned also. Nobody from Malaysia plays at NA afaik.

There is a box icon when you open up the UI in game that allows you to access the Tera Shop. There is a button that says Get Tera Thalers. Click on that. Alternatively, there is an option now via Account Management at the main website. Just login into your account via www.tera-europe.com.

To buy the TT, you can use Paypal, CC or Debit. They work.

The ping is much worst than EU. When I tried with tunnelling to the server locations lowest I got was about 260ms or so. I get 200ms with lowerping to EU.

Nope no exceptions, but if you use tunnelling services that hide or mask your IP (or VPNs) it is bannable. Used for a year already. It's impossible to play without.

Just to advertise, me and priestie duo MCHM first boss, all made possible by a lower ping (anything around 200-300ms is acceptable for PvE, for PvP it is less forgiving).

I co-founded a guild in Fraya and I have led Heroes of Lowyat and joined many others before deciding to settle in casually at the moment. With HoL dead and many Malaysians scattered about, there are GMT +8 guilds or Asian-populated guilds in Fraya which might suit your fancy. If you want more details you can PM me.

Did you try all the solutions at the technical support forum of Gameforge's Tera forums? The only help provided for the EU version is unfortunately, by their own playerbase. I've encountered numerous issues since launch and solved all by reading and trying out the solutions there.

As of right now there are multiple versions of Tera; NA, Europe, Taiwan, Japanese and Korean. NA is accessible but you need to bypass the login block (via the launcher) explained in a few pages back by one of the users. This works and I tried it myself although the latency is worst than what you'll get at EU, fluctuating from 250ms to 350ms (atm Europe pings anywhere from 200ms to 290ms). There's Europe which blocks newly created accounts from Malaysia (and other Asian countries) after May 2013, so your only choice is either playing from somewhere else or buying an existing account. Taiwan is difficult for a self-explanatory reason and is ways behind in patches and updates. The other two are standard; blocked regions outside their own, etcetera.

Maybe so, but didn't stop me clearing every content, PvE and PvP, and crafting the best gears in-game (also first on server).

Tera NA has blocked Asian IPs since day one, that's reason enough.

VPN? Anything that hides your IP is bannable by their terms and conditions. You can try tunnelling programs though, I know wtfast and lowerping works by personal experience. Whether or not they make any significant differences is another matter of discussion.

Not sure about NA but we get 195ms-290ms on EU, and Lowerping/WTFast works. Do not attempt VPN services or your account will be flagged and you can be banned. Either way, Tera's end-game dungeons rely quite heavily on a stable internet, so unless you know the layout well, 300ms will be very challenging to play with, but more or less "okay" as long as it doesn't spike. PvP will be impossible (unless you're in equalized battlegrounds).

Err... there's a Taiwan version you know. Out for a while already, which was promised to be the last version of Tera outside of Korea.
