I want to start playing after a year hiatus, but my launcher keeps getting stuck on retrieving manifest. Most fixes that work apply to the US version, but gameforge offered no solution for the EU servers....

try to launch it through your tera program files

I do, I also ran as admin, remove read-only file permissions. I even left it on for one night to see where it takes.

Looks like I have to reinstall, but I don't want to download 30gb again... -________-

i wonder is there any chances of method for us to play in asia except buying account from others ?

I co-founded a guild in Fraya and I have led Heroes of Lowyat and joined many others before deciding to settle in casually at the moment. With HoL dead and many Malaysians scattered about, there are GMT +8 guilds or Asian-populated guilds in Fraya which might suit your fancy. If you want more details you can PM me.

Did you try all the solutions at the technical support forum of Gameforge's Tera forums? The only help provided for the EU version is unfortunately, by their own playerbase. I've encountered numerous issues since launch and solved all by reading and trying out the solutions there.

As of right now there are multiple versions of Tera; NA, Europe, Taiwan, Japanese and Korean. NA is accessible but you need to bypass the login block (via the launcher) explained in a few pages back by one of the users. This works and I tried it myself although the latency is worst than what you'll get at EU, fluctuating from 250ms to 350ms (atm Europe pings anywhere from 200ms to 290ms). There's Europe which blocks newly created accounts from Malaysia (and other Asian countries) after May 2013, so your only choice is either playing from somewhere else or buying an existing account. Taiwan is difficult for a self-explanatory reason and is ways behind in patches and updates. The other two are standard; blocked regions outside their own, etcetera.

Maybe so, but didn't stop me clearing every content, PvE and PvP, and crafting the best gears in-game (also first on server).

Tera NA has blocked Asian IPs since day one, that's reason enough.

can we patch Tera NA to EU?
coz I dont want to download the entire game again!!

Some of my friends try that game and quit because we are playing at cyber cafe and it's hard for them to play that game because of the lag due to the noob pc.

want to play Tera Rising.. but cant register by now -.-

Do gaming vpn services still work ? I use pingzapper, but keep getting the 24 hour IP block.
