Inside you will see a file called <yourplayername>.Arma3AlphaProfile Go all the way down and find these two settings: viewDistance=1600; //represented in meters - distance at which the world is drawn. preferredObjectViewDistance=1600; //represented in meters - distance at which world objects are drawn Remember to save your settings once modified. Oh and to read the file properly you'll need to use notepad++ / wordpad. This post has been edited by t3quila: Mar 13 2013, 12:45 AM |

QUOTE(t3quila @ Mar 13 2013, 12:30 AM) For me it's a resounding yes. Always like the single player campaign since Operation Flashpoint. Although the AI always been the achilles' heel, but the story kinda interesting if not cliche' (it's understandable), and the mission design is brilliant. Unlike many other popular shooter, you can tell they spent lot of effort into the SP, kinda wasted to just ignore it. To each his own, it's their money at the end of the day.Beside i'm not really into MP. Arma is one of those game that is suitable for both SP and MP player, both component are quality as far as i can tell. |

The main selling points of the Arma series are the mission editor, mod tools and PC platform exclusivity. Without them the series simply would not survive till today. Everyone who plays arma is capable of giving back to the community be it modding or mission making. They are given the tools to do so. It's a little more complicated than SP over MP vice-versa but I hoped that widened your scope. |

I'm looking for veterans of the series. |

But my main reason is my rig always struggle to get decent performance in multiplayer since Armed Assault, maybe because the world is much more open and bigger by default. Maybe i'll change my mind once i get a better machine. I just love the pacing for the single player campaign (easy for me and my rig), and hopefully the AI is much more robust this time. Oh, and sorry to sounded bit d***-ish in my last posts. It certainly wasn't my intention. |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Mar 13 2013, 10:04 AM) Before this I ran a dedicated server for DayZ then MSO (both requiring MySQL). It's basically a second machine. Nothing but a box/server. I turn it on/leave it on like forever.Hostname: t3quila's ArmA 3 Dedicated Server This post has been edited by t3quila: Mar 13 2013, 10:10 AM |
