limited area, some like Samarahan got sacofa... other telco can ride on it

Thanks. Means mostly still TM's infra, same like West Malaysia.

Where to get info on what they are offering ? How to check coverage or subscribe ?

For availability you have to find out from each telcos website, (Maxis Fibre, Celcom Fibre, Digi Fibre). Just register for the package that suits you.

I see, in terms of stability n support, any idea which one better ?

Maxis confirmed available at my area, but not sure it's under Sacofa or TM infra.

support Unifi will definitely be better. for all the rest, if there's any issue related to hardware/line stability they will need to call TM and make a joint appointment to assess your issue.

The only reason I'm considering Maxis is because their 300Mbps package only RM149/m, with first 3 months free.

The black box on the pole at the back of my house belongs to TM. N when I checked with Maxis on the coverage, they did mentioned that if I currently subscribed with Unifi, then I need to terminate it with TM first before subscribe Maxis, transfer is not allowed.

then meaning it's using TM... don't terminate, just straight go to maxis and they will ask you do transfer request on TM

Just go for Maxis. Generally you shouldn't have problem, only when the cable break then you need Tm to come.

Usually people use the transfer method, not terminate Unifi. When you terminate chances are that your port may be taken by someone. You should sign up Maxis and get the transfer ID to submit to TMpoint. Once approve Maxis will come and swap the router.

Thank you all. Look like Maxis is a better choice for me.

I already went to Maxis, they checked in their system n told me I cannot just transfer from TM to Maxis, I need to terminate my Unifi at TMpoint first before subscribe to Maxis. Maybe, I'm using Unifi 30days trial at the moment.

No wonder. The Unifi 30 days trial has some terms and condition. You have to bring all equipment and do a proper termination in Tmpoint before the 30 days.

I Migrated to Digi on Unifi infra. Didn't notice any downtime last night, unless it happen in the middle of the night where I was asleep.

The process from registration to installation took about 2 weeks + to complete.
1. Register your Digi fibre plan, either at Digi store or through agent. Upon registration they will give you a transfer ID.
2. Go to Tmpoint with the transfer ID to do thumbprint verification. Also make sure you do not have outstanding bill with Unifi, otherwise TM may reject the transfer request. To make it easy, I pay 1 month in advance. Any balance after the transfer, TM will refund through cheque to your home address.
3. Wait for TM to approve your transfer, which could take between 5 to 10 working days.
4. Digi will contact you to set appointment for installation.
5. During installation Digi just plug their router to the BTU and setup the connection, everything done in less than half hour. Their job is just limited to their own router, anything related to BTU/fibre cable/poll is TM's responsibility, hence TM technician will usually come along to make sure everything is OK. If need be they will replace the BTU for free, otherwise just use back the same BTU.

During the waiting period, you can still use your Unifi as usual so there will be no downtime. Heck, my Unifi was only terminated 1 week after Digi fibre installation. So I am able to have both ISP running simultaneously for a week.
