That's not a scholarship. Anyone having 8As and more for SPM would automatically qualify for a 25% waiver in tuition fees in Nottingham. |

QUOTE(FCUK89 @ Apr 14 2007, 10:28 PM) Lol..when I said that rather take RM 100 to Bukit Bintang, it wasn't refering to us ler. I was just saying that I rather take RM 100 to Bukit Bintang and eat good food there.... OT - You promise me before one! Please do not mistaken.. Anyway, I thought induction should be on next monday, not friday? Also, I think that the new foundation batch will face the same thing as what we did last time. 3 months or so semester break and then 1 week sem break for sem2. |

Also, I think that the new foundation batch will face the same thing as what we did last time. 3 months or so semester break and then 1 week sem break for sem2. Since you remember that I did, alright then, we'll find one day.... I also know on short notice that the Induction was on Friday, wanted to go there, but then can't make it cause need to go PC fair. Somemore, had to go to Public Bank, Maybank, Laundry and Post Ofiice before that, so I miss it... Anyone from Kedah? This post has been edited by FCUK89: Apr 14 2007, 11:02 PM |

I am one of the commitee for the annual dinner. The food tasted good during the food tasting but I guess when they cook for 800 people, the quality dropped drasticly, sigh. I hope it was better than last year.

The food tasted good during the food tasting but I guess when they cook for 800 people, the quality dropped drasticly, sigh. I hope it was better than last year. 1st of all let me congratulate both you n your committee for the successful event! /**REVIEW**/ as for comparison to last year's annual dinner, this year's definitely had better activities (the UNIM idol dance was pretty cool, Pop Shuvit rocked and that 10yr old girl danced really well)... last year's Emcees were better though (JJ & Rudy)... and somehow Shangri-la's grand ballroom didnt give the 'wow!' feeling like Mandarin Oriental's... as for food... well, both were equally below expectation... food quality is slightly better this time but last year we had a substantially bigger portion... i mentioned that last year's is better solely because of the emcees and the atmosphere created... they were better at entertaining whereas Jules kinda annoyed me Overall, you guys did really well and made it happen!! i believe organising something like this aint easy... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! p/s: does any1 know the title of the 1st song pop shuvit performed? thanks This post has been edited by AREA51: Apr 15 2007, 11:05 PM |

As the IT Support was unable to do anything to the current pc, I would like to 'enlighten' you guys here. I personally talked to them and they said that they could only do something during our summer holidays.
For you guys who see this message, please forward to your friends. To whom it may concern, As we all know, the computer labs, TISCRA and ISCRA (I am not too sure about the engineering ones) are infected with stupid autorun viruses and I believe that quite a number of students are aware of it, it's just that they couldn't care less and they fail to remove it. Now, as a temporary solution, follow what's stated. Copy all your files from your pendrive/external HDD and FORMAT your media. Create a AUTORUN.INF folder in the root of the pendrive. This will prevent a malicious autorun.inf to be created on your thumbdrive and thus infecting each and every pc you access. Don't believe me go and try it out yourself. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. *Take note that the files(malware) will still be copied to the pendrive but it won't be executed as there's no longer a malicious copy of autorun.inf in it. Secondly, if you guys face lagness, non responsive(cannot scroll, close etc) in Firefox or IE, navigate to Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), look at Processes Tab, and right click on w32sys.exe, select end process tree and choose yes. Close the tab and reopen whatever site you're at. The problem should be gone, temporarily. *DO take note that if you end process only, it'll friggin restart your computer.* Hope this helps. Cheers! |

Thanks.
Haha, it wasn't UNIM Idol, it was Mr. & Miss Nottingham. Credits to the finalist's hard work though, they practised hard for the dance under an instructor for weeks. I agree last year's hosts were better, but they cost a lot more too. Prem was good that night but Jules was a bit dissapointing. The ballroom ain't that grand compared to Mandarin Oriental too. Haha, it was really hard work organising such a big event since we have not much experience. SO many problems. You have no idea how worried we were when Jason Lo told us he was sick during the morning. Lucky he sent his buddies Pop Shuvit to helped out. Haha, I missed the first song by Pop Shuvit. Was busy counting votes for the Mr & Miss Notts. Dammit. How does it goes? |
