QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ Nov 12 2006, 10:58 PM) What can I say... It's per person basis. If you think that the teacher is good it is good. Works vice versa. For me, it's ok. Dunno about others. I agree to almost everything but danger? I really can't take it. How danger is your danger? Please define "danger".BTW, I have friends that drove back everyday. Some prefer to rent a house here. just be careful when stay at TTS area. Dun ever try to walk back alone at anytime. Cos previously there are a lot of case either reported/non-reported happened before. even stay in hostel also dun take for granted that the security guard will do their duty well, sometime even the food in the refrigerator will gone missing. There was also several case that laptop missing in the room.

Something to be proud of: NottinghamQUOTE The University of Nottingham is Britain's 'University of the Year' 2006/07. > > In an eagerly anticipated awards ceremony in London's Park Lane, judges of the prestigious 'Times Higher Awards 2006' praised the institution's pioneering campuses in China and Malaysia, and its outstanding performance in international Higher Education in 2006. > > Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, one of the distinguished judges of this year's awards, said "This is about Nottingham being really bold. It is about looking to the future and Nottingham saying it wants to have a relationship of substance with those parts of the world. I am sure that the campuses will reap huge rewards for Nottingham." > > Judges were particularly impressed that staff and students at Nottingham now have a chance to move between campuses in the UK and Asia. The editor of the Times Higher, John O'Leary, said "At home and abroad Nottingham has made great strides....the University is stealing a march on its competitors worldwide." > > Bernadette Porter, a former vice-chancellor of Roehampton University and judge in the hotly contested category of 'Institution of the Year' said "It is a spectacular achievement by Nottingham." > > In the past year The University of Nottingham has opened two campuses in Asia > -> in Malaysia and China. Its UK campuses have seen significant investment, and research awards have reached record levels. In addition, the University has opened the UK's first new School of Veterinary Medicine and Science for more than half a century. Nottingham is one of the most popular choices for UK and international applicants, and it offers a student experience of the highest quality. > > The Vice-Chancellor of The University of Nottingham, Professor Sir Colin Campbell, said "This award is a tremendous accolade for our talented and dedicated staff and students worldwide. Our campuses in the UK, Malaysia and China are centres of excellence. This recognition reinforces our commitment to a dynamic international strategy which is fulfilling potential, enhancing cultural understanding, honing expertise and developing talent across continents. We're very proud, and confident that our global view of higher education will strengthen the University in the years ahead." > > This year The University of Nottingham again rose in world rankings. The institution > -> whose academics have twice won Nobel Prizes in the past three years > -> was placed in the top one percent of universities worldwide. > > Nottingham's commitment to broadening access to higher education was also recognised. The University won the 'Widening Participation Initiative of the Year' award for its groundbreaking scheme offered in partnership with Lincoln University. Dr Penelope Griffin, Head of Widening Participation at The University of Nottingham, and colleagues at Lincoln, devised a programme which allows talented students in Health Sciences access to some of the most demanding and competitive degree courses, including Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. > > Sir Peter Lampl, Chairman of the Sutton Trust and one of the judges, said "This is making a real difference in a university discipline that is perhaps the most socially exclusive of all." > > The certificate in health science will boost by some 50 percent at The University of Nottingham Medical School the number of students from neighbourhoods with a history of low involvement in higher education. Students who initially enrol at Lincoln must meet at least two of a number of criteria, which include being the first in a family to go to university, being in care, or being from a school with a poor academic record.> > > The 'University of the Year' award was presented to Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor David Greenaway, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation Professor Douglas Tallack, International Office Director Dr Christine Humfrey, and the President of Nottingham's Student Union Dave Willey, by the Higher Education Minister Bill Rammell MP. The awards ceremony was hosted by the BBC Radio 4 broadcaster and sociologist Professor Laurie Taylor, and presenters included Baroness Diana Warwick and the acclaimed actress Dame Diana Rigg. >

I dunno.. But they say my scholarship will cover everything including Nottingham tution fees from Foundation to degree... But I guess that's true... Foudation cost around RM5.5k... As my friends always rant the same old quote... OT » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "We pay RM5.5 to study, not to play dota/whatever/stupid stuffs"... "We pay RM5.5k what... So we must fully utilise everything... Including lifts"... And then another jerk comes in and say, "luckily I pay RM4.2k... heh, no need to pay so much..." I and another friend[STAR too], boh song ady, "How about us?" xD Owned! Ya lorz... Got LAN project summore... And yesterday waste 4 hours in teh lab doing nothing... >_<
