that pooch which comes with the Trendsetter really nice  thumbup.gif

erm, that Golden Minifigure only 5000 limited production? i wonder how many boxes of CMF LEGO usually sell worldwide? 1/2 million boxes perhaps? roughly 0.1% chance then?
*
For all we know, the golden figure may only be available for US & Europe market. I wont wanna hunt for this baby..if I get it, it just a bonus. I want to make sure I can get the rest of the characters i like.

Wish those who obtained the golden figure can have access to the main Lego factory...he he..like Charlie and his Chocolate Factory.

If posted here, sure will be sapu-ed licin by this weekend, the good stuff.

But it's good to see that new stocks are coming in.

TRU and others need to take note of aeon promo marketing, give a little money out and more stocks will flow. Sad to see those hospital sets still sitting in TRU MV sad.gif

Bro, if posted anywhere else also gone. Now ppl got data plan...mobile internet. While on the road can access FB, get intel and zoom to hot spots.

But I hope LEGO stocks will be offered consistently. So that no short supply that would lead to pure resellers taking advantage.

Planning a trip to 1U tomorrow. Looking for the SW battle packs 75000, 75001 and 75002.
Any bro here seen them at AEON 1U ?

AEON 15% off is ending 3rd March right ?
Thanks.
*
Maybe AEON only will display the nice sets after the sale...to get 15% from us. doh.gif I noticed when TRU got member sales...there is nothing much to see or stuff I want. Good stuff only comes in early or after sales.

What sets do you guys think they will put up after the sales?
*
Those movie licensed and superheroes sets likely.

I have seen situations whereby there is only one set left on the shelf. Ask for availability and they would say that is all left.

Come back next day or two, you see another set on the shelf. Apparently it is one method to reduce mass buying by one individual or stolen/ lost.

AEON 15% is a winner than RM 10 reward from RM250 spent at TRU.

luckily 15% discount in AEON is not forever. else all LYN sellers here will close shop tongue.gif
*
There is no bright sunshine everyday. Furthermore hope all AEON offer the LEGO before end of the sale. Give us some chance.

After sales, then we continue buy from parallel sellers.

I see Toywizard selling CMF 9 at RM 15ea. I havent checked TRU but hope that is not new retail price.

yest, i saw the LEGO '13 sets at Parkson S.Pyramid at 10% off but the Parkson S.Parade have no such offer.

i wonder if their promo unique to branch?
*
I was there on Mon evening, only spotted LEGO Friends, City Fire station and one Hobbit set. Overall nothing to choose from. Displayed together with those Angry Bird SW playsets.

Now its Parkson Grand Sale..by default all branches should follow the same discount for respective brands. Previously I took item to customer service and asked them to verify in system or with other branches.

I think the toys dept are sleeping, dun keep themselves updated or order more stuff (popular ones) in.

So when it comes to LEGO sets I am aiming for, if I see it at my comfort budget, I buy it regardless that other places (like recent AEON sale) have 15%. Currently LEGO is popular and fast moving items...give it a miss, next day may not be available.

BTW today is 1st day of AEON One U member sale (2 day sale), maybe more LEGO stocks replenish?

If buying from overseas, better check with seller for shipping with tracking cost. Have them send you invoice before paying ie. Paypal.

Sometimes free shipping means they will use cheapest cost and packaging to deliver to Msia. Some use soggy box packaging which may lead to tear hence missing packs when it reach us. Some just wrap brown paper over the LEGO sets.

Heck, only the box and its wrapping may reach you cuz either lost in transit or local custom "confiscated" the bricks.

Beware of "too good to be true" overseas deals and dont compromise on reliable shipping methods.

Do more research on the products and info from seller. If he is not helpful (malas nak layan attitude), be cautious.

You can also try to get feedbacks from the customers whom have recently bought from him. Random audit verification.

If selling price too low..how come? Maybe he got it at cheap price/ warehouse clearance.

Or like that guy in the US where he replaced the product barcode with his own, bought many LEGO sets at lowball price to resell on online portal for dem good to be true prices. And yup..he got caught in the end.

If small lego set like battlepack, I will eager to assemble fast. I havent bought a modular set but if I do...well..I would assemble few pieces a day like planning a chess move daily.

And do anyone know where to buy plain LEGO base plates? I need it for my minifigs. Went TRU Empire just now and they only have the road junction plates.

Yesterday went to Gurney plaza, manage to visit Popular and TRU

This is the brickmaster stocks in Popular
I was there early this year for holiday. I must say that POPULAR in Gurney have many LEGO books. The only time I have seen the Ninjago encyclopedia with free minifig. I havent had the chance to see it in PJ area yet.

Back then only one Monster Fighter pack on TRU Gurney shelf...the babe with mummy monster. Good to see restock.

Thinking of ordering from some lego from euro sellers. Do u guys know if some of those sellers say they ship by tnt or dhl, would this be via their local postal or dhl/tnt? Also, once product reach malaysia, would it be sent by pos laju/pos malaysia or by dhl/tnt? I recall i once ordered from a uk seller, shipped/tracking no. by dhl but came via pos malaysia.  box was in terrible condition... Ouch...
*
I have purchased items from US and UK, I always ask for the shipping type and packaging method before payment. May need to pay more for few days delivery and good packaging. LEGO boxes are soft, easily dented unless seller can use bigger box with styrofoam peanuts as cushioning. But most sellers would use newspapers. blush.gif

There are risk involved when buying from overseas. Any problem cannot settle face to face.

i went to amcorp mall yesterday and seen many lego seller
but the shocking thing is , 1 sample a SW 75001 set in any shopping place selling it at 69.90 but a came across this couple selling it for 90.00
my eyes came so big and thinking is the price tag up side down and ask.
reply me with a yes is 90 .....  rclxub.gif
*
Now more ppl in Amcorp Sun market selling lego...previously HotWheels or action figures now also in LEGO. Some parents not careful would end up paying higher for NINJA playset....not NINJAGO.

I would understand if the item on sale was from older or discontinued series to justify that kinda price but mostly are new items.

I give thumbs up thumbup.gif to most LEGO resellers in LYT, at least LEGO items offered at retail price or lower. Your reward are based on the items' cost & risk you took to bring the items in.

Do you all realized something from our community and why is it different from others?

In our community resellers are buying from each other instead of always importing stuff themselves. This not only boost the economy but also shows that we are not treating each other as competitors. Instead, we are something like helping each other.

Agree? smile.gif
*
Symbiosis relationship.

As a collector, I have budget and my preference price which I used for each item I desire. If price offered within my range, I buy immediately. No haggle no lowball. Save time and hassle too.

Resellers also need to be rewarded indirectly for paying upfront and taking risk of bringing the stuff in.

No need to know how much profit, we should be glad that we are able to get the stuff at preferred price. smile.gif

i think if < RM 500 wont kena tax
if > RM 500 will kena tax and wont have any limit.

as long as i don need to fill up some crappy K1 form, then ok la tongue.gif
*
Ive never ordered LEGO from overseas before but some custom officer regard shipping cost as part of the RM 500 limit.

Meaning if my item is RM 400 but the shipping is RM 150, then most likely will be detained at LCCT POSLAJU office.

Even if the value is < RM500 but the box size is large, it will also get detained.

Custom will ask you to come to open (sometimes they themselves also open prior to your arrival) and tax accordingly.

If mixed toys, I can safely inform its for own use. If many duplicate items, it may be regard as for trading purposes. Tax rates differs and yes, it may lead to more paperwork hassle.

You guys can open a LEGO online shop.

Variety and quantity more than retail or what distributor have to offer.

In retail ,collectors have to compete with parents and kids desiring for LEGOs.

Space problem la. I don't like my LEGO get too dusty.

A few diorama or playset is still ok. When becomes a town, then its time consuming to clean the dust. But I would use a hair blower to clean the dust. Effective but cant clean the insides or hidden corners of the blocks.

if collection/display getting bigger, time to invest on a custom made acrylic box.

I got to get myself to know some friends working in property developer companies. In case they have any scale model which they would dispose after projects fully sold. They come with plastic casing.

BTW Alanyuppie, do you have any reference links to mech building? I want to attempt to build a mech unit like Power Loader (ALIENS) or the one from AVATAR movie and able to fit one/ two minifigure.
