Only the RED series is available in Tesco, the upper market consumer series called XTREME series is not available there, only saw it in Eneos before.

I think that's only for the coating, and not inclusive of the prep work. Basically, the "cheapest" for interior & exterior plus coating is RM5,600.

Hm.. Sometimes I just feel kinda sorry for Ultimateshine, seems like most of the product line he carries are good for 1 batch of stock only.

Unfortunately, don't have any panels to do the test on yet, all my cars either have something more durable on, or it's not possible to do the test due to bad paint condition(daily beaters)

I think there's no "censorship" in this board regarding brands so no worries
Anyway, I've tried the polymerized rubber sponges before, maybe it's not to my liking, but no doubt they are mild enough for waxing jobs, I just prefer regular clay for those jobs and use the clay towel a.k.a. Speedy Prep Towel for polishing jobs coz they do the job faster. The only clay I haven't tried is the one that works on DA. BTW, Shinecars sounded familiar, operated by dschia? Well, it's been commonly told that the Luster is for solid paint and the Meta-clean is for metallic (2-stage with clear) paint, not sure how it holds true though, but if you're going to spend money getting something new, I would advice to get something else as those mentioned ain't very durable even though the paint cleaner properties is superb(for the price).

Are you sure it's thru the official Meguiar's channel, or some other random user? Don't remember them(as in, official Meguiar's) showing tutorial to clay with their spray wax.

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Sep 3 2013, 04:43 PM) Tesco I went? Not sure which branch, but I noticed they usually put all into the same row, #1 and #2 available, sometimes the #2 is placed at the back, need to find one by one. |

CoffeeDude, any Tesco, not sure if today's the last day of promotion since they change their catalogues every Thursday.

QUOTE(teikwing @ Sep 8 2013, 08:44 PM) Anyone been using this product? How good are they compared to Optimum No Rinse? At 1/3 the price of ONR, it's quite tempting altho it says required 4oz per 2 gallons or water compared to ONR's 1oz per 2 gallons of water. Probably too concentrated. Think for a normal car without much dirt 2-3oz should be good. The price you shown should be the regular pricing, it not mistaken the offer is still on for RM28.90(at Tesco, as per your picture). It's one-third the price but it uses 4 times the dosage, comes back to almost square one. Then again, I have NOT tried it, the quadruple dosage might also be just Turtle Wax's "to be on the safe side of things" dosage recommendation as OPT products isn't exactly OTC(Over the counter) and most users are more advanced, and also, for most parts of US, their water is a lot "harder" than Malaysia(which enjoys cheap clean water). This should be the first mass-marketed rinse free wash available locally off the shelf in hypermarkets. NewbieBetta, if you know Ming Tien Food Court, it's right beside it, I think the front facing shop is a Pet Shop or something. To make it clear, it's that building between the market and Ming Tien Food Court.
As for your question between White and Green Lake Country pads, White is a Polishing Pad, Green is a "in between" polishing/finishing pad. The coarser Green had been recoloured as Pink these days to avoid confusion. And, since you're using a small orbit machine, I think you could use a little bite from the White pad. Dawn is a very strong cleaner for what it is (dish wash), I've left my detailing related stuff soaked in Sunlight dish wash in warm water overnight and so far so good.
It's not called "Dawn Power Dissolver" for nothing. |
