Thanks bro, ya i should squeeze out and save for next use, LOL
*
actually you should squeeze out during your session, not pouring it back in the bottle or something for next session lol. may have residue/contaminants that you'd rather not have, right? lol

btw to speed up drying process (and reference to previous TS of this thread), would you give an "ok" to using soft silicone wipers to quickly sheet away water before wafer weave/chamois drying?

the directions also mentioned to NOT apply force and i can easily see why especially if the silicone wiper picked up dirt and can easily damage the finishing.
however if one is careful, making sure after wipes to wash/inspect the blade, and of course gentle/no force applied wipes, should be no problem right?

With the correct awareness and technique, I guess it's safe to use it. Just be careful yeah.

One another note, if/when you car has a very healthy coat of protection on, water *should* be able to sheet faily well with an open hose and what's left can be easily dried with one single piece of drying cloth.
*
i tend to neglect my car's roof as the paint's bubbled up after few months of repaint. basically need to strip and replace metal sheet itself, and clean up the old glue that induces rusts... (14 year old car, so yeah sad.gif )

and that's the part that tend to have water stagnated a lot sad.gif
+ the old iswara design being very... box'ish and absolutely lacking in aerodynamics, water tend to have more hold on the car compared to the nissan sentra that basically has no protection/coating at all... so that's that lol.

i actually find majority of my time spent during car wash on it's drying session, if that can be hasten up, id have more time to actually do more detailing work biggrin.gif

Well, Sonax, is kinda like Meguiar's in USA, they are pretty big, depends on what you want. The wheel cleaner IS highly recommended.
*
whats the difference between sonax's wheel cleaner compared to meguiar's or even turtle wax?

whats the main attraction of sonax's wheel cleaner?

how much it cost again?

q1: I find the Sonax is more effective in removing stubborn brake dust as compared to TW or OTC Megs.
q2: very nice watching the brake dust turns purple and bleed down the wheels
q3: VERY EXPENSIVE!!!
*
heres the thing with cost, for TW, its cheap, however i tend to spray a lot as it wasn't that effective.
the good thing about it is that it is rather... gentle to the wheels. so far never had damage on tires/wheels etc despite over spraying a ton.

however if sonax is very effective, and overspraying may cause damage? (abbrasive, solvent?) you could probably use very little and get the same/better results.

TW is between rm23-30 for a spray bottle of 768ml, much cheaper, but a bottle can only last maybe... 20-40 wheels or so...

that said, brake dust isn't that huge of a concern now since i'm on expensive brake pads that produce absolutely minimum dust no matter how hard i brake (160-170+ down to a full stop LOL)

Aiyo...a simple meetup suddenly turning to be something like a full fledge detailing clinic already instead of *just* a machine hands-on session. Need to invite a proper sifu for this kinda of thing already la...... hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
aren't you that sifu? lol

actually i dont mind to keep it to just a casual machine hands on session, some TT, chat etc
no need to go full serious and detailing clinic and whatnot.

but of course im fine with either way, i'll go with the majority/sifu krismas wishes smile.gif

As for those Jap/Asian brands like Soft99, TurtleWax, PG, etc....can't really say. I've tried a *very* few with mixed results (or maybe I'm just too easily influenced to the hypes from the 'mat sallehs' brands....).
*
turtle wax is american also, and according to most americans anyways, its on the same level with mothers

Hi. I would like to ask which type or brand clay should I buy to clay the Windshield

Is there any fake Rain-X in the market ?  Because I notice Shell Engine Oil selling in Tesco also fake , so I am worry about Rain-X . Will Rain-X Make Windshield crack or other problem ?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Last Question is how to prevent power window squeezing sound when rolling up and down ?
*
im using cheapo soft99, id reckon any detailing clay from any reputable brand should work

no idea from fake rain x, there's a lot of imitation products though. just remember that if it is too cheap to be true, it probably is.
can verify on rain x distributor sticker, and buy from reputable sources (eg: super markets or ace hardware tongue.gif)

AFAIK tesco don't sell fake engine oil, however their engine oil are imported, not local distribution market (save cost)

alcohol is unable to make windshield crack. if you do have any cracks, it'll be stone chip or other impact on a spot, even if it is just a small dot, it may eventually develop into a long crack line as time goes by (with heat, wind pressure and what not)

for power window, you may need to check your power window motor, if there are any torn seals for on the door panels itself that touches the glass, or if you're using too thick of a tint on the glass itself.

I use a folded tissue paper to apply RainX and a damp microfiber cloth to *lightly* wipe the haze/residue off afterwards.
*
lol i tend to do it backwards, MF on application, tissue paper (or toilet paper cuz im stingy like that) for buffing/wiping off haze afterwards

find it more effective and it lasts longer

See...there's really no ONE CORRECT/BEST way of doing things in detailing, it's more like WHAT WORKS FOR YOU. There are a few basic things that you'd need to adhere to, other than that, the rest are 'to each their own'.
