There's some sort of GB going on, might want to contact Krismas regarding it. It's dilutable and doesn't necessarily needs to be used neat.
*

i barely got much dust at all to be honest, maybe can clean the spare semi slick tires i got in the kitchen, or dismantle my wheels out to clean the insides which does have some caked brake dust from previous brake pads before i got these expensive EBCs

For something as strong as the Wheel Brightener, I don't think it should be used regularly, something like every 6 months is fine. Using it still requires some agitation. After hitting your wheels with WB or Sonax, your weekly or bi-weekly wheel washing should be very easy using normal shampoo plus some APC once in a while.
*
hmm if you dilute WB enough, it could be used as an APC too id reckon. im planning to use that for really stubborn stains on the car itself XD

Erkk! I don't think acid-based cleaners should go anywhere near a painted surface sweat.gif

APC/degreasers would be a better choice if you want it for multiple application biggrin.gif

planning to get one of each too lol

Meg's WB. We are sharing the gallon down to probably a quart per person.
*
hmm how much if i wanna buy a gallon myself? i tend to be a bit particular on wheels since i want to keep them clean an it'll supposedly dissipate heat better than caked rims haha

oh and they are the more "expensive looking" parts of my car XD

Aww man, missed the last meet sad.gif I've always wanted to get a feel of those machines as I don't dare to try it without the feeling that something really wrong may happen. Gotta learn the correction techniques from the pros smile.gif

Btw guys, what's a good spray wax to recommend? I'm on OCW and it's fantastic with its speed and ease, but I will want to try something new once the I'm done with the bottle. DG Aquawax anyone?

I've got a sample of Surf City Garage's Barrier Reef liquid wax as well too, no experience with them yet but it'll be a good test for the car that sits outside in sun and rain 24/7 smile.gif
*
pity man, having sifu krismas explaining everything in detail was a very unique experience thumbup.gif

for cars that sits outdoor under sun/rain 24/7, spray wax isnt recommended, unless you're ok on waxing all the time after car wash weekly/bi-weekly hehe
then again there are some more expensive ones that could last slightly longer

personally i've never bothered on spray waxes before because of their durability (or price)

The last time I had OCW on the same car it lasted less than two weeks.

What waxes do you guys use anyway?
*
well if you did proper surface prep, id reckon more than 2 weeks or maybe 1-2 months could be very possible.

personally im on cheapo turtle wax biggrin.gif

once i gather up more skill/knowledge, ill move up a notch, then by next year or so ill probably be ready to detail my new car XD

The car's paint was relatively clean which didn't facilitate claying, but it was during the rainy season so the wax was put to the test.

New car? That means this Iswara will be gone? sad.gif
*
have you bag tested to determine the paint's clean? lol

and naw, iswara's staying. i did after all spent a huge sum repairing it recently after a rather serious accident lol

This is the reason why I want to apply coating on my car. What you are looking at is after effect of after driving during heavy rain.

I still wax my car, really. Car detailing is just an exercise for me.

Sorry for the hologram, amateur detailer is like that.

What I'll do in a rush is to spray the recently-rained car with water to wash off the rain - at least pipe water would be much less of contaminants but the water hardness may vary.  Or better yet if you have a distiller, pouring two 1.5 litre bottles over your car should do the trick.
*
QD and wipe, even better.

Actually just wanted to clean a bird poo, so decide to use OPC....
ohmy.gif  stain after spray. Very very upset.

Lesson learned. Never spray OPC directly onto car paint. If you must, spray on the cloth and wipe.

After that spend 30 minutes with M101 just to remove the stubborn stain...  doh.gif    which was suppose to be a 5 minutes(top) job.

bro krismas just mentioned about optimum and their polymers laugh.gif

That is the standard market price for QD and UQD bro. Cheap would be a 15 or 20% discount on top of it tongue.gif sadly i think the last promo just ended.. lucky i managed to stock up on UQD and UQW tongue.gif
*
yaka? i typically saw it more expensive lol. and my prev TW ultra gloss was around/almost rm50, more expensive than megs QD, however since UQD not that far from that, might as well give it a go biggrin.gif

My experience with our weather and dirty city environment, normal strength shampoo mix aren't able to totally clean the surface, hence effecting the beading/sheeting effects. One way of finding out is to wipe the surface with some sort of QD or spray wax and see whether the cloth would pick up any dirt or not.
*
my experience is that not only shampoo aren't enough, i'll need tougher claying too LOL (heavy driver, about 2 months can reach 5k km, and i tend to speed whenever the opportunity is given, hence rock magnet too, my fairly new windscreen just got hit by one not too long ago, got an ugly mark already /sigh)

Isn't it disheartening to see that after wash, your clay is still able to pick up some dirt? Especially oil stain.

I always have this feeling and wonder if there is any shampoo that can just do all that.
*
yeah it is disheartening a bit, but since the dirt's etched deep (over 2 weeks no wash, or lol bird dropping/treesap that i didnt qd off) it can't be helped sad.gif

Someone do sell 3M clay here. But never use before ...

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2684606&hl=clay

soft99 is more expensive, and doesn't clean well.

it's damn gentle though, too gentle if i may add, not too suitable for our climate/weather especially if you drive a lot.
moving on to something more aggressive as intro'd by bro krismas osren clay cloth.

i just visited osren in fact, but since their more senior staff aren't available, cant get good discounts for mass buys haha
never knew they were just under my nose all the time as it is just few blocks away from my previous car body repair workshops (ive moved on to another workshop for my genting accident repairs)
