One Utama HOME FIX, they have it. Swirl Finder Light.

But I feel that, yellow light (perhaps halogen bulb?) works best compared to bright white LEDs.

Im using a LED torch at the moment, imho not really good compared to the street light outside my house  tongue.gif
but still can see la

the one from autogeek is xenon however on warm color temp similar to halogen.

So halogen is better in finding imperfection on car paint or LED is better??
*
i think warm light is easier. the one from autogeek, despite being xenon, its on warm color temperature.

if anything, the road lamp (im parked under one, free swirl finding LOL) thats in orange color reveals swirls way easier than my white phone flash LED

Very effective in cleaning off stubborn road tax sticker glue http://twitpic.com/d0elm1

after using it, can perhaps use some IPA to guarantee its oil/petroleum distillate is removed biggrin.gif

I can't find any resources which OPC changes color after contact with grease though.
*
could it be possible that OPC was strong enough to strip/transfer color from the brush instead of color changing due to grease?

The brush was made from either pig or horse hair, like those oil brushes. I had been using OPC but at lower concentrations with it previously too.
*
maybe with higher concentration it start to dissolve the paint or whatever color on the brush?

For those of you who are wondering what Hyperdressing is, it's a water-based dressing for interior/exterior rubber, plastics, vinyl, etc. It comes in a concentrated form, i.e. for usage, recommended dilution from 1:1 ~ 1:4, the stronger the dilution and shinier the finish.

I particularly like the HD because it's easy to use especially for dressing the engine bay and wheel wells. After cleaning, I spray it on and just let it dry....no need to wipe except if there's overspray, etc.

I don't have any recent pics but here's roughly how it looks. Remember, this is just spray on and walk away...no wiping....

Oh...and like always, proper cleaning is the key for best results. But with HD, after cleaning I can straight away spray on the wet engine/engine bay, start the engine and let the heat do the drying and....voila....
*
and that is why i pulled the trigger to buy my HD also despite the insane price.

because LOL the easiness of it thumbup.gif
thanks for the review/application method and pictures (these are very convincing wink.gif )

are these steps ok?
5. Wash down with Ultimate Wash and Wax (or normal F21 better?)
7. Wax needed? if yes i only have GC Liquid Wax
8. Ultimate Quik Wax spray and wipe (this step needed?)

thank you so so much!!!

these better or just send to detailers?
*
for the most part ok

so i'll just comment on what that isn't covered by grexer

5) save the wash and wax for normal maintenance since as grexer said, you'll want a surface free of polymers/wax from what wash&wax will provide.

additionally you can consider an IPA wipe down prior to your sealant. (F21 does have glossing agents/polymers too iinm)

7) not specifically needed, however if you layer your wax (again as grexer mentioned, wax over sealants/coatings) it'll have much better depth/gloss/shine/smoothness

8) not needed if you layer with wax already, however for maintenance, it can be a good topper/ease on drying as mentioned as well.

but of course, if you do have the time, you can apply it ANYWAYS and it'll be a good additional layer/barrier before nature/our shitty polluted environment starts attacking your wax (and eventually the sealant underneath)

if you maintain weekly wash and wax/quik wax topper etc, i think it'll take a DAMN LONG WHILE before you need to reapply the wax/sealant wink.gif

We have from Meg:
Degreaser
APC
*
eh im only doing this 1 shot only not doing another round so this sharing session can consider closed la

reason:
Meguiar super de greaser is some seriously strong chemical lol; basically ate through one of the plastic bottle http://twitpic.com/d15sts

So yeah using all new bottles(got some new ones after diluting some for my own usage) and used pvc tapes to seal it http://twitpic.com/d15t9w

and you may notice that SD has more content than APC. do take note the bottles are 600ml, and i added some filtered water to dilute the SD a bit and hopefully they may go easier on the bottles.

not to mention my hands were all itching during the process as they came into contact with SD, and even after washing them off thoroughly with water the skin's all dried/wrinkled up also rclxub.gif
should have worn my rubber gloves i recently bought doh.gif

Errrmm...Megs Super Degreaser? Isn't 1:3 a little above the recommended dilution/strength. Carefull.....
*
going balls deep lol... and yes even on the label, 1:4 is the highest recommended dilution, then 1:10 for medium strength.

and on tip: use a brush to agitate (or basically a pressure washer) stubborn stains.

after wash, there are plenty of oil on the floor. So if any of you wanted to try this method and wash your engine bay, do take note that your floor will get very dirty.
*
hmmmm where to get those oil spill sheets... i think i seen them before on eneos

wanna do my part for the environment XD
(and of course keeping my floor cleaner)

Also, I noticed the tub says to not use the wax on plastics and rubber trims - now why is this so? Is this a characteristic property of paste waxes?

never used cheapo turtle wax? w

preferred speed and ease-of-use over longevity, and I could use it on inner areas and door jambs too nod.gif
*
for paste wax, inner areas/door jambs can be a b**** as the cheaper ones tend to leave residue. cheapo turtle wax/soft99 is no exception. so if you're thinking "speed and ease of use" when it comes to cheap paste wax, you may want to think again.

Reading up on colored waxes led me to this very interesting article on its effects, subtle or not.

5. You can still use any colour wax on any colour car. A white car will not turn deep blue with a layer or two of Blue Velvet on it. But if you want your white car to stay purest white, don't put four coats of Orange Crush on it.

the first thing that came to my mind: Patrick's white/orange inspira laugh.gif
