QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Mar 19 2013, 08:19 AM) Your current setup is not suitable? Please elaborate. my current handlebars length 68cm n stem 80mm..so, for me, i feel my handling not good enuff around tight corners n d handlebars abit short for a stable descend or when i land after jumps..so, i wan to know wats d ideal handlebars length use for AM setup...(coz im slowly chnging to AM hardtail from xc hardtail now..hee) Basically, all the things that you listed down is based on personal preferences. You might like 40mm stem, I might like 50mm stem. You might like 700mm handle bar, the rest of us maybe like 900mm handle bars. |

QUOTE(s6xs9x @ Mar 21 2013, 03:05 PM) want to convert from XC to AM? Got such thing wan meh? XC bikes can ride kiara wut .. depends on what you call comfort and breakproof lo even a BMX but not sure if you come out in 1 piece or not le. well I dont see why not. I would say dun waste time converting, just go and ride. But if you really want, change the frame better still and replace as others fall apart if you ride rough. 2pc crank wont make it an AM build. QUOTE(joonming @ Mar 21 2013, 03:13 PM) Save more money change bike instead upgrade a 2x10 crank. estimate your current bike cost: you bike : RM1200 Deore : 1000 Reba : 1200 Brake: 200 then upgrade crank: RM700 you can get a decent full-sus or a very good hardtail QUOTE(Broadica @ Mar 21 2013, 04:13 PM) save your money on that crank la... changing crank now make not much different for u now. XC to AM is like changing the whole bike already. focus on getting a AM frame and fork... if you talking AM QUOTE(leinnz @ Mar 21 2013, 04:45 PM) yup, im thinkin dat too...im more into hardtail lol...mybe ill save some money n buy a good am hardtail...btw, where got sell some am hardtail?? |

QUOTE(Broadica @ Mar 25 2013, 10:14 AM) headset usually different sizes cross different bike brand and bike discipline. ok, noted..thanks so better check your frame ... headset pressed in and usually we dont want to knock them out... it will usually hurt the cosmetic of the frame and headset usually. its always better to get new headset with new bearings. it is one thing that people usually get new together with the frame. old sell with the old frame. except for cases like you having an expensive chris king that you might want to still keep. |
