I had to change as my panel was no longer responding properly, half the screen wont respond to touch

The N4 uses what they call zerogap technology, which is basically fusing the LCD to the screen. So it's sort of a single piece instead of a seperate digitizer and screen.

Grey = Wifi / 3G turned on but not in use

Blue = Wifi / 3G in use (sync / data usage etc)


Temperature sensor isnt detected by that app for some reason, its fine as long as the rest are on.

Currently using that Poetic bumper, but that Ringke Fusion sure is tempting

But I'm not too sure with the buttons Cause I always prefer casings that has easy-to-press buttons, hence me using the bumper.

I also have the SGP Ultra Thin Air, but I still use the bumper more

Give it a proper battery calibration (100% to flat then 100%), maybe a couple times to be sure.

Also try out a custom kernel, poke around XDA to pick your poison, make sure to follow any specific instructions

Might as well get it done, RM350 is quite ok considering its a front panel replacement.

As far as I know, that rattle sound is the camera mechanism.

Have an issue now, my N4 has random reboots (tried a few kernels and no diff), it even reboots in recovery mode, will hang when flashing halfway.

Phone is practically unusable atm, any ideas?

Tried that and it didn't work, will hang then reboot from nexus logo.

Flashed with google stock factory image, which means I wiped everything, flashed stock radio, stock bootloader, stock recovery, and everything's wiped including /sdcard.

Phone will get stuck somewhere along the nexus bootscreen for 1-3 secs, then it'll reboot again, and again, and again.

I locked the bootloader now, gonna take it to LG later.

Still the same issue, will freeze then reboot.

Went to LG with my N4, they had the same issue too. According to them its likely a board issue, so its sent to them for a week

Phone freezes then reboots. Sometimes while in menus, other times on nexus logo. It even freezes in recovery mode

Did everything software related (wiped everything / flashed stock Google images etc) and it didn't help. Went to LG a couple hours ago, they couldn't fix it either.

According to them its likely a mainboard issue, and would have to order parts. So I'll be back to my Xperia T for a week

The software will only have root if its installed in the system in the first place.

So if its official / stock ROMs or zips that involve changing the /system partition, you will lose root.

Lose bootloader?

If you meant custom recovery (CWM / TWRP), yes you will.

If you literally meant bootloader, no.

Hold the shutter button to focus, while its held it wont refocus. To refocus but not take the picture, swipe your thumb away from the shutter while holding it.

Some cables might not be able to transfer data / not support. So far only those microUSB cables that come with, say, powerbanks won't work (what I've tried so far)

No, installing apks does not need rooting.

Do you root, flash custom rom, undervolt your processor, push adb etc etc...

..just to install, say, Cut The Rope?
