You can try NFC with android phone, although can only use on URL link and contacts only. 

flickering is not normal, does affect the pix taken? My galaxy w had a camera issues till the battery was changed, it fixed it self. You should get it checked, alternately you could try to find another point in your home n charge your phone, see got difference or not. Don't use extension cord. Mine never charges properly when extension cord is used, power seems to drain fast n other funny behavior.

If you can't get a second opinion from somebody whose phone isn't faulty than I say go ahead. As for DOF problem, using 4:3 AR somewhat alleviates it (because FOV is not as wide).

The RM6.50 option would be to use ProShot. Not sure if it makes any difference but I seriously have never noticed this problem until now. Not as bad at least. E.g. in the sunset shot above it's hard to tell if there's any blurring, even at full resolution.

Like this shot - you can only notice the blurring at corners and barely at the edges (this is a bad case). The way it is in your pictures it's affecting more like 25% of each side, leaving only 50% usable shot at the middle; as if zoom-blurred in Photoshop.

If you photograph a lot, I recommend giving it a shot and judge for yourself. Not sure if there's a trial though.

@L520 - the problem is probably less prominent, seeing that it uses F2.4 lens. Same case with other models which mostly use F2.2-F2.4 lenses.

All Lumias suffer from this blurring actually, even L1020. Though like I said, it's probably worse on L720 because of the F1.9 lens it uses. But then I'm not an expert on this stuff so yeah.

But the CA in yours is pretty bad (look at the trunk at the top left, it shouldn't be that bad that far into the pic). Maybe you wanna install HD Photo Viewer app to zoom in to 100% when showing the problem to Nokia.

Haha I was same like you before I got my Lumia 720. Was playing around in the Store many times till my previous ZTE phone died on me. So I decided to give it a try and get a Lumia 720. Everything works fine and well from the first day. And guess what I'm the first Lumia user in my entire class(out of roughly 60 peoples). All see liao also wahh lend ur phone see haha. If u get the yellow color the effect would be multiplied xD I got the black as yellow was OOS.
