on off got a little freezing (i can live with it). Just lock screen n unlock then ok d. I would recommend this phone if he doesn't find it too big, or its a hassle to press the phone icon then keypad icon to get to the dialer . Also app store is kinda lacking at the moment. Got Microsoft office inside and camera is great. Keyboard size quite large and size of font for text on SMS is adjustable and sunlight readability is beneficial for him and Nokia here drive, maps rocks.battery life also very good. I do suggest going to store to test it out first.

prolonged reading on my galaxy w android phone is not good. Dizzy. If he wants to read, I recommend this phone. Brightness auto adjust it self and the screen is 4" its just right to me, not too bulky in pocket but not too small to use. Remember to test camera , display before buying.
