Nice to know another name I have around 230 artiste folders for Jpop in my storage, not including anime & game soundtrack folder (the way i arrange is different, songs are arranged by anime/game title in that section)... but too much is never enough

btw, you all use Media player or itunes to sync your songs/video/photo??

just realise using drag and drop will mess up the albums and songs ...

i arrange manually into artist folder, inside is a mess
make sure artist name is standardize, otherwise hard to find

I use windows media player to sync the songs....if not all the artist and albums won't even be grouped up properly

I use old school method, i open my folder, step by step, go for the songs i want and i play... the reason is like what u r experiencing, everything mess up... What songs i feel like listening, just just make a playlist out of it. If i import all my songs into a player, GG... a big mess... my songs are mixed - MP3, M4A, FLAC and WAV, and some songs after i downloaded, do not have the properties keyed in properly, or the Japanese characters became messed up. This problem is less likely to happen if u go for M4A, itunes format - details are proper with album covers embedded.

The way different people call Japanese names (first-last name, or the other way round) is another issue. That would Japanese names, such as "Kana Nishino", will appear as 3 different artistes in a player if i sync everything - the 2nd form is Nishino Kana, 3rd form is the kanji/japanese writing. Cant expect me to check and edit the songs one by one when i have like over 60Gb of J-pop songs alone...

My laptop's sound card is horrid, Bass nearly non-existent, so i tend to listen to songs from my phone with a good headset.

Er, anyone experience problems displaying chinese song titles?
Most of the chinese songs I have got this problems.
Any method to overcome this?

i guess proper japan is nishino 西野 kana カナ
but myself i tend to remember "kana nishino" better

@Ktek, yup, Japanese name follow us chinese naming - last name (surname) then first name, so the right one is Nishino Kana.

You mean the chinese characters goes screwed up, i have this problem with Japanese and Korean, and it only happens to some of them, which is weird. For example, see these 6 pics below, all of them were in Japanese words but some would appear properly, some becomes messed up (bottom row). My guess is that, the words being typewritten with different keyboards (half width or full width katakana, hiragana, etc) has an effect on it. For chinese im not so sure. Note that i do have Chinese, Japanese and Korean language installed in my phone keyboard.

it feels harder than normal silicon but not stiff like nillkin hard case. still can bend and twist a bit.

still like the way how zune shown artis albums that has been sync to our devices, can simply highlight the album and from the songs list there a small icon appear help us identified this song or album has been sync to device. unlike Media player have to go through several step to check album status.
