Does anyone bought Nokia Lumia 920 from Digi store (not online store)? If yes, do you guys know which Digi store still selling Lumia 920?
I've checked Mid Valley, The Gardens, Times Square, KLCC & Low Yat Plaza. None of the Digi stores sell Lumia 920. Only Paradigm Mall Digi got sell but no stock.
I couldn't buy from online store as I plan to buy the Lumia 920 with PKB RM200 rebate. Anyone bought their Lumia 920 with the RM200 rebate?

Hope someone can share their experience here. Thanks a lot!

my suggestion.. buy from shop without contract.. lumia 920 retail price 1999 while outside can get lower. rebate only can be used with retail price.. ;(
*
The only reason buying from digi is because I'll be using 24months contract and after RM200 rebate, RM1299 for the phone.
The price from nokia retailer in Penang is RM1800. So there's still a huge margin in between. sad.gif

yeah but don't get your hopes too high as the stock.. might end up very very limited or not to be restocked at all wink.gif
*
Yea no high hopes for sure.
Was checking if anyone actually bought it from digi store with RM200 rebate.
If no, maybe I gotta just grab it from Nokia store/retailer.

Thanks.

Can the RM200 rebate be used on Nokia Lumia 920?

Seems like it's not available in the list of smartphones for the rebate.
*
Theoretically phone is applicable with the rebate from DIGI (postpaid) but problem is basically no Digi centre sell this phone. On top of that, you cannot use the rebate for online purchase. And currently, Digi online store doesn't have stock also.

And although Maxis is offering the phone but it's not listed to be applicable for PKB RM200 rebate on their hotlink site.
Don't think any telco offer prepaid package for rebate on Lumia 920.

3 basic things i want the most - notification center, X button to close apps in task manager, and file manager.

Android's notification center is a pull down from the top, for windows phone, i think it'd be nice to be a right swype (and just like the home screen, u can scroll through up and down). It would also be nice if the notification center has some live tile look (instead of just lists of words)  and connectivity shortcuts on top. Now home screen only have left swype, no right swype. Just borrow some idea from Meego with the swype gestures.
*
Nice idea! But wouldn't swiping down to close apps in task manager is much better?
Hope to see updates on user experience in these areas.

Is the casing glossy like the Lumia 920 glossy or is it matte? Hard to tell from the photo.

Update: Sorry. Just notice your post up there.

No, Nokia Music has something similar to Pandora where you can download mixes for offline listening. It's totally free so you can download up to 4 mixes (1 mix has I think 30 songs or somthing like that). This supposedly is limited to North America & Europe but I managed to get it 2 months ago (dunno how, I just did). Yesterday it was gone ....
*
I tried with my Nokia Music, says need internet connection to play those songs. Maybe just a glitch though, didn't test it further. and btw, remember to pin to start so u can play those list. However, they will expiry one day though.

Bought a casing from Nokia store in pavilion...last cover, grey colour...now i can switch from yellow to grey or grey to yellow...gardens and LYP all sold out...well at least the wireless charging stand seems to be back in stock...
*
Hey how much you bought the casing? RM49?

Btw, do note that users report that the casing is causing some blemishes to the phone back casing due to uncertain reason. You can refer here at WPCentral forum

I myself is planning to get 1 of the casing too.

Ouch sad.gif sorry to hear that. But maybe u can try put on those shield (eg. Xtremeguard or Invisible Shield or the ArmorSuit?). Not sure if they going to hide the blemishes but definitely is an extra layer between ur phone and the harmful stuff.

the casing worth RM199 wtf  vmad.gif
the staff say all nokia store are same my frenz buy at 1st avenue also same they say becuz of limited stock
lucky i buy from my father frenz more cheap
*
The casing for RM199? Gosh, that's an expensive casing I would say. Rather get the genuine Nokia case for RM39.

Anyway, if to buy Lumia 920 in Penang, head over to BJ Kompleks. Get from the Nokia retailer. Much cheaper there (lower than RRP).

On that note, what does everyone think of those hp shop imposing additional 2%/3% charges on credit card? I can understand small hp stalls do that, but even official shop like Nokia (talking abt that Gurney branch) doing that....
*
This sucks. Official Nokia Store like The Gardens doesn't even charge me extra when I use credit card to buy a car charger (DC-20).

Btw, Nokia booth at Mid Valley doesn't stock the DC-20 but try to persuade me buy a old Sony Ericsson car charger @ RM138. Nokia DC-20 cost only RM49 with 2 USB port of 1A each. So I think have to be careful when buying stuff from Nokia retailer or even Nokia Store (such as the Gurney Plaza case).

Nokia should really look into this matter.

I don't think they roll out by phase though.
Haven't heard any users got their OTA update of the Portico.
If any users got it, please update here!

You mean the chinese characters goes screwed up, i have this problem with Japanese and Korean, and it only happens to some of them, which is weird. For example, see these 6 pics below, all of them were in Japanese words but some would appear properly, some becomes messed up (bottom row). My guess is that, the words being typewritten with different keyboards (half width or full width katakana, hiragana, etc) has an effect on it. For chinese im not so sure. Note that i do have Chinese, Japanese and Korean language installed in my phone keyboard.

Yes exactly with those weird symbols.

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Mar 12 2013, 06:23 PM)
happen to me too, all Chinese / Japanse kanji become messy so i used MP3Tag to rearrange all my album, no need to retype the title just drag drop all the songs to mp3tag save the whole ablums, my kanji words reappear.
but your album will look messy, appear wrong characters..
*
Gotta give this mp3Tag software a try!

Background Artist Photo can be download using MPATools while each Album photo can be asign using MP3Tag

Hey, what's the steps to do it?
Use Mp3Tag to settle the names first, then only MPATools? or the other way round? rclxub.gif
I found out that MPATools will chunk out some dummy files. How do you get rid of those?

btw lumia data usage already low...

if use default fb interface, whatsapp then really good on data.....
for browsing i recommend UC browser tough sometimes on high memory website appears "not enough memory" warning on the browser  doh.gif
*
For low data browsing i would suggest Nokia Xpress. Compresses data and can store articles for offline reading. There's are features too.

For me, it does what it advertised, and if i wanna save on data, i would use this browser.
Go marketplace and check it out. Over there got a detailed description of its features.
No harm trying right?
