Hi all, I have a stock Note2 which my Note2 app - Contact seems to have the names dissappearing altogether. After a hard reset, I get it all working again.
Very strange indeed. Anyone have any fix to that? I am wondering if there is a task app that can help fix that issue? Appreciate your advice. Thanks. |

We're still doing well despite 5 months (20 weeks) after launch and it's averaging out 1 version every 1.11 weeks. There is natural attrition as new models arrive, but considering the topics with the largest number of threads are all Samsung, I would think we are doing very well compared to the other models. We're still doing well despite 5 months (20 weeks) after launch and it's averaging out 1 version every 1.11 weeks. yes, agree. This slowness is not related to uncle benny lah. Many of us not posting as often as before, me included. Nothing much to talk about Note II now. Only 1 word left - awesome. There is natural attrition as new models arrive, but considering the topics with the largest number of threads are all Samsung, I would think we are doing very well compared to the other models. Bye all for now. Flashing is only fresh to those new Android users. Most the the old birds here had been doing that for quite some time liao. Like others, i will flashed a few roms to experience at the beginning. Ultimately, just find a stable rom with decent battery life and stick with it. No point flashing frequently and wasting time setup the device all over again. There is better use of our time, especially those "young" uncles with family like me. |

Okay this might help some note 2 users here..
If you are facing a problem of screen rotation sometimes not working, then you have to reboot your phone, which of course is a doing which would cause detrimental effects by minimizing the life span of the phone. I did some researching about this problem, and I found out that the best way to solve this problem, which in my case until now, a few days into it after performing this task still seems to work for me. Here is it: First you have to switch off your phone, remove battery cover, remove battery, remove sim card, and remove memory card. Basically remove everything, except the screws.. Then repeat the above steps, but in reverse. Switch it on and there you go, screen rotation would work like magic. It seems that most note 2 users agreed that this is the method that works best for most people, and I am one of those users. Hope this would help those users who faced this problem.. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 22 2013, 12:59 PM) why dont just shake the phone? What does rotating got to do with remove sim card and memory card? Surprisingly enough, it may seem very counter intuitive, but the fact is that it worked for most people, rather than just switching the phone off and turned it back on, which would still result in a recurrence of the problem. It's not a 100% success story, since I am just into it for a day or two, but it seems to work well for me. Maybe for those people who are facing this problem would try it out, and maybe posts some feedback here, if the rebooting of the phone did not eliminate the problem of screen rotation. For now, only time would dictates its success.Rotation denied due to detection of sim card and memory card? This post has been edited by Positron: Feb 22 2013, 01:07 PM |
