Sent in my phone (proximity sensor problem) and my charger (2nd time) for service at 1utama

The service consultant also said that the hissing sound from charger is normal, and need to wait 3 days. But i insisted to change anyway.

Just to share, if anyone has ADC value average 9-10 or more for the Proximitiy sensor, it so troublesome that your screen will not appear during calls if you move away from the sensor and you will get stuck a while if you enter voicemail. However, it wont have any problem if you are in a very bright area.

Also, my screen sometimes will auto blackout (not device auto lock), but im not sure if its caused by the sensor.

Normal ADC readings for note 2 should avg 0-1, and i tested on an S3 Demo set in samsung store, it can go up till 4-5 but its still normal

By the way, the sensor can be tested by entering this code in your dialer *#0*# , there are other functions that can be test as well.

I still getting this error while backing up

means from my experience:
1. contacts : all numbers and no names
    solution : export to sd card, delete all, restore back the .vcf file
2. waze : unable to load gps and/or network connection and/or stuck at loading screen
    solution : reinstall
3. facebook (and maybe other apps, i only use 30 odd apps) : forced close or FC
    solution : reinstall from Google Play. i tried to restore from TBPro but error (i don't know why)

1350 for a custom unit?  Crazily over priced even if it's real.  No warranty for such phones and bear in mind,  parts for note2 is not cheap

That is the priced based on SME, which still has warranty

non warranty parts can be easily sourced from china but no warranty.

But im sure if you build your own phone using original parts, you still won't get warranty from samsung malaysia.

Well its very easy to check whether that set is a rampasan set..
Or smuggled set so to speak..
Just google IMEI number checker.
I tried on my SME Note 2, no problem, its in the database.
I even checked my AP S2, since its original too, its still in the database.
However here is the catch, when I entered a smuggled IMEI number for the note 2.
