800MHz A15...!? rclxub.gif
A15 runs from 1GHz - 2.5GHz
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_Cortex-A15_MPCore

Btw..the A7 is not obsolete..it's the most power efficient chip.
Better than A8 or A9. Beside..to use BIG Little you need A7 just to save power.
If you have BIG capacity battery such as tablet..then you can run happily with the A15 alone without need of A7
*
i am giving example that most application need only 800mhz A15 processing power to run.
you need to understand how core clock work, and run from 1ghz is their max speed, not the min, most newer design processor will have the ability to change the clock speed accordingly, like when the core is doing nothing, they can idle at lower clock. Usually a phone idling will have clock speed of 384mhz, they wont idle at max speed like 1ghz to 1.5ghz because the phone battery will run out in an hour and the phone will hot like oven.

this should be my last post about the processor thing, as i might have different knowledge and point of view about processor that other.

yes i know.. my gf using s3.. i just ask if htc one can video call over 3g or not..
becoz i always video call to my gf.. n thats why im asking, wheather htc one can do video call or not..  doh.gif
*
dont think it can.

there are 2 type of video call, one is by 3g, which is count by minute, like your native call, another one is use your internet, either 3g or wifi.

if samsung use the first method, it will have extra cost to make video call.

if samsung's video call is the 2nd method, than its just similar to 3rd party app like skype, tango, even other phone have this method, it wont able to video call to that device, only same brand devices can receive the video call, example apple facetime over 3g.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Mar 17 2013, 08:32 PM)
Because the Gnex is already a very old phone and only has 1750mah battery. As you said newer updates may have bugs, thats why the even newer update is required to fix that bug. Let's say one x now get 4.2.1 with the bugs, then if htc still continue with what they're doing today, when will you get the bug fix for the 4.2.1? That's why updates are crucially important too.

and JB to JB updates can make a lot of difference too. Forgive me for using samsung as an example, but there's not many other examples i can use. 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 update brings a new gallery, multi-window feature, customizable notifications, smart rotation, paper artist app and many more to the phone. As I know, many people want that customizable notifications and multi-window feature. So surely enough, it does make a lot of difference.
*
4.1.1 and 4.1.2 is android version, this update has just minor bug fix.
for samsung case, they are updated with samsung feature not android feature.

for nexus devices, there are only 1 type of update, which is android version update, for other android devices, there are 2 which is android version update, and manufacturer software update.

One X era is quite good, only have One X+, One XL is not upgrade because it was released for LTE market, it was there when One X launched.

Question to white phone owners, does white gets dirtier than black?
*
Aluminium should be ok, I am using white butterfly now, the white one have non matte surface, which made easier to clean.
But if surface like one x white, it much comfortable to hold but harder to clean.

Now I just reliase still got people use video call. Haha!

It was like dismiss since 2 - 3 years ago, no one I know / don't know,  place I stay / went can seen people video call already,  at least not in public.
*
there are many people using video call, but using app like skype, but not the native video call, that charge by minute.

however, there are still some small group of people, mostly using older or low end symbian do it, if someone want to communicate with this group of people, they need to have native video call phone like samsung, or symbiam.

i mostly see the bangala using it tho.

ya I bought HTC One X with that assumption. Turns out even FB has it. After update got choice to make recent apps be menu button tho
right now only got 2 button whereas in butterfly got 3 like One X. If can overcome just like that then good. thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif because the bar really annoyed me in my one X
*
This is one of my concern as well, facebook have this problem because facebook apps does not follow the recommended guide line set by Google, which include a menu button.

I have said earlier , this is not a problem. I quote again:

This is not a problem at all. You see this in the Butterfly too. Just get rid of it by selecting pressing recent button as menu  and hardpress as list of recent apps in settings
You will than have full screen mode and it works for all apps

See facebook below : 3 button menu gone. To access it, just tap lightly on the recent apps

[attachmentid=3362622]
*
i know, i am referring to HTC One which only have 2 button, which might not have this option anymore because of missing recent apps button.

but sadly that's not enough for me  cry.gif
ya...but somehow my 2020 mAh battery finishes faster than iphone 5 1440 mAh  sweat.gif

why le?? I think because of bigger screen consumes batt faster?  cry.gif
*
for me my butterfly have better battery life than my 4s, and it was 1.5" bigger, 2x more core, 4x more ram, higher brightness setting, and much better network connection, iphone 3g was slow, wifi range is lower than butterfly.

My friend's iphone 5 lasts her about half a day of usage before it needs a recharge.

But then again, another friend of mine who has a HTC Butterfly also recharges in the afternoon. Just saying smile.gif
*
It's depend on the usage, can't compared between difference people.

I am saying based on my own usage, similar usage on both phone.

Yup, both running 1080p.

This is new HTC One, it is not the old HTC One X or any One that release previously.

Comparison HTC One v/s Butterfly - http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...3&idPhone2=5118

Splash resistant is a + to that, second notification light on back? what for? hmm...
*
0.3" bigger, splash water, sd card slot, nice back cover texture (matte, gloss, pearl) to choose, back notification led.
