My Dear Fellow Malaysians,

This GE13 is not about supporting any individual personalities or parties.

No. It is about social justice, it about finally finding true solidarity and unity that cuts across all ethnic boundaries, it is about ending half a century of racism and discrimination together as a team, it is about holding people in office accountable and ensuring they remain incorruptible.

This is a civil rights movement that Malaysians of all colours and creeds have engaged in, because we have a dream.

For change to happen, we must have the courage to lead and be a catalyst for change. We cannot remain complacent and complaisant to the abuses of a regime that disregards its own people.

It is up to every single one of us to build a government by the people, for the people. We are our Mandelas, We are our Ghandis, We are our Rosa Parks, We are our Martin Luther Kings.....Together. United. Brave. Committed.

We are standing on the precipice of change. In a few short days, May 5, 2013 will finally be upon us. On this, the eve of history, I want to be part of a generation who took the stand, took the lead and made history.

A generation quixotic enough to believe that Malaysians have the courage to make that change happen for the better future that we all deserve.

After 56 years in the darkness of oppression, there is now a clearly ringing hope. Across the lands, from sea to shining sea, people are standing up and gathering and raising our voices in unison, yearning to be counted. Hope rings louder by the day.

We can only vote with our conscience, for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We can only march on with the courage of our convictions to face the uncertainties of the future, and with hope that our voices will once again matter in building this nation. Liberté, égalité, fraternité! The choice is in our hands.

I hope we choose to hope again. I hope we choose to realise that precious dream on May 5, 2013.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King Jr.

How could we possibly want otherwise?

True Malaysians
Fabio
