it is normal situation which in user manual book also indicated on this matter and remedy..

it's also common sense that out Forte comes with immobiliser and auto steering lock.. "ngekkk" mechanical sound from steering column when you push button start your engine and after you open any door after engine shut down..

you gotta get used to every new stuff you purchase.. like you get used to iPhone 4S for 2 yrs use and now you changed your phone to HTC Butterfly

if I were you, I will not say to avoid our Forte too advance. Simply irrelevant.

Naza Kia omitted this feature because they understood that majority Malaysian will ignore the seatbelt warningsign. And also they won't appreciate the warning chime sound keep bothering the users and in the end customers will bring back to SC to disable the audible seatbelt warning chime.

As for the Optima K5, Kia engineers in Korea made the chime sounds much more pleasant than our current Forte. Naza Kia decided not to alter anything in K5 since it's CBU unit from Korea but our Forte is CKD made so they can not include the seatbelt warning since not many Malaysians will appreciate it.

twist the 2 rubber knobs beneath boot latch to lower the rest stopping closing height in clockwise direction.. close the boot and try again opening the boot via unlock lever..

Whether you agree or not, it is mentioned like that from some local automotive magazines back few years ago. Not that I am so free to reka cerita.

Waja in Y2K era till it's end of their life-cycle does have the warning seatbelt sign too if observe carefully on instrument cluster. And it is non-functional too like Malaysia assembled Forte.

I used to own Waja EV 2004 brand new which comes with Dual SRS airbags and they don't have seatbelt warning sound and light indicator too. There was an error occured after few months of ownership that airbag indicator light keeps flashing and sent for warranty repair. Upon Proton technicians dismantled the seatbelt at B pillar plastics, there was a seatbelt sensor module inside which connects to the airbags system. Don't think that airbags safety feature is affected just because of warning chime and seatbelt light reminder is only disabled. The crucial sensors are still there.

Read again at my extended post above. I am also talking based on experience and logic.

PS: I owned Vios 2009 and it has very annoying beep beep beep sound and after 30 seconds it will continues beep faster until the driver fedup while just driving around parking lot looking for carpark. And UMW Toyota SC said many Vios customers requested to gunting the seatbelt buzzer chime. True Story.

We accept of what car manufacturer provided to us. Bisu or not, Airbags will still works fine when unfortunate situation needs it to protect the car occupants as long as we buckle up.

you put that particular person off starting from your very first sentence. if you were really being friendly/ humorous or kidding with that guy (I hope), can't you use sentences like "since we are talking about mercun, why don't you sell mercun also? sure untung banyak" rather than stopping ppl to post other topic "now we talk about mercun".. that sentence in the beginning made that person felt baffled and wonder why only mercun topic can be allowed to discuss at this period of time.
