i format using gparted and minitools, both also cant read. i ask at xda, they try ext4 sdcard also cant read, maybe u can teach us how you do.

u formated ur internal memory to ext 4? cos all of my android device internal memory is fat32, by default, i can read them in all windows pc and they show fat32. so ur maxx internal memory cant read in windows without ext4 driver lo.....
*
lol don't ask the same ext4 question again lar, xda will ban u laugh.gif

i format it using linux mint

nope android original use ext4 in their internal memory except samsung, u can search in xda
u can connect it using usb & the android will mount the ext4 automatically n do the job,
but it won't show as FAT32, but instead it will show as generic hierarchical like tis

Some additional info to those who have concern on the notification light.

HTC butterfly's Notification Light is one of the tiniest I have ever seen. Although they are available front and back but it's very tiny and from far definitely not noticable.

However for Phone call and SMS, the workaround I have is to install app for the camera flash blinking when there's incoming call or SMS, similar to iPhone and I think useful

Its not like that .
generic hierarchical is a way of descripe hows the data being manipulate . Its not a type of file system suggested by the name itself .

Android are using fat32 since donut . You usb or micro sd need to be in fat32 format for your phone to read it . You can see the real type of file system by mount the external storage partition .

we r talking abt internal memory, c here, android r using ext4
http://blog.gsmarena.com/android-2-3-ginge...re-performance/

some older android still using YAFFS or YAFFS2
samsung android r using rfs, samsung own file system,
this 1 u can google by urself

fat32 is also supported in read & write mounting but not used android in internal memory
some company got exfat license like samsung, so they support basic read write in exfat but no integrity
if u knw how u can use ntfs also in sd card, by ntfs-3g laugh.gif

is it a standard that 64gb micro sd cards come factory formatted extfat?

while the smaller size like 32gb comes fat32 formatted? is this the reason why sony has been saying xperia z supports only up to 32gb since they can only read cards that are fat32 format?

tis 1 not sure, i think most of the new micro sdxc comes with exfat
not sure abt 32gb one, but pretty sure older micro sd card were using fat32

but u can format it to fat32 by using ur computer
other thn tat u can try ext4 or ntfs also but need to do more things,
even exfat with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...n.mounter&hl=en
