looking down on people called average  for a reason
even if  have RM10M in EPF also should not say that
Knowing full well than 99% of people do not have it,
to  say  is easy to have RM1 Million in EPF and 1M in EPF is nothing is
to make many many others feel bad.
Yes dont simply say it is easy when more than 99% people cant achieve it.

There is a saying that wealth does not pass three generations is a good reminder to ppl like him, what he boasts of now will eventually be done towards his descendants, or better straight at his face.

er.. i beg to differ.
that's how most self-made millionaires become & stay millionaires, they are numerically literate & have common sense.
millionaire next door and books like those with stats.

not to the point one misses the big figure in exchange for the decimals.

also means they think out of the box instead of focusing what's inside it.

I feel its a better alternative to FD.
Assuming you fully understand the kwsp withdrawal T&C.

I do it, as part of diversification. I wish to retire back in MY.

Tax free and risk free too. FYI, EPF dividend is guaranteed at min. 2.5%.

Unlike most OECD countries where withdrawal age is 70, ours 30% at 50 and full upon 55 which is very convenient.

I also did the same on self contribution. However, I utilized the 60k max in 3 months.

I'll never dump more than required into my EPF account. Reason? It is extremely illiquid.

What use is the guaranteed 2.5% interest rate if you can't use it? Its your own money but you do not have access to it?

Experts suggest the average people to not touch their EPF money, because average people will buy liabilities instead of assets. Are you average? If yes then invest in EPF.
