I don't think anything will come out of this suggestion. Just an air headed suggestion for political mileage.

Even if it was implemented, possibly its applicable to those who want to sign up on voluntary basis.

The wealthier folks mighjt not want this, most would have their own private insurance to care for their medical needs.

If it is such a good idea, why only born after 2010? They are only 13 years old now. Why not 2005, who are 18 now and entering work force?

I’m glad its set at 2010, my kids ngam ngam missed this dateline. I dont want them to kena this mandatory mthly withdrawal thingy.
Keep it as far off as possible, I dont care.

Yes. Angmohs are just as bad. WE can see that happening in Aus where even an increase of $100 of bank repayment causes havoc.
They spend lots on drinks and partying. Max out their CCs et al.
*
And there are more angmohs renting than owning their self stay properties

Will Akaun 55/Emas allow continuous voluntary contribution ?

Good question, I also want to know.
Send an email to KWSP Customer Service and do share their formal response here.

1.5K is not enough for the mthly charges at nursing homes (old folks home). Current levels are already at RM3.5K, shared room + 3 meals.

Darn  detailed.. 👍

I done the same over last 10 years of record, it get to a point like you, I developed a sense of overall consumption, it gives clarity on the expenses landscape.

Now I factor in additional inflation based on what I observed n consumed but err on higher side so that it cover whatever shortfall as much as I can anticipate...

Trying to built up the nest as much as I can while able  to before they kick you out of employment at 60.
*
If can tahan until 60, considered damnnn good already.
Nowadays there are many fresh grads waiting on the sidelines to take over on a cheaper wage🤢

highly unlikely.... reason is if they wish to target div from retirement funds, then may as well target FD and CASA interest first. Long ago, interest from FDs 100K and above are subject to tax. That would be a better place to start vs EPF or ASM/etc.

just my opinion...
*
I see it this way too.
Balances for most members in the EPF are very, very low as it is, it doesn't make sense to impose CGT here.
It will not happen.

every 2-3 months my logon to i-Akaun (KWSP website and app) is required to reset.
Once reset the forgot password method, with a new password, then all is fine until the next reset.

Every time have to generate a new password.
*
Ah okay.
Maybe they’re beginning to require members to change passwords due to IT security reasons.

Yeah.
They need rakyat to carry out CSR through EPF.
I think the returns from EPF will drop as they increase their Msian bond buying for CSR in the future.
Otherwise there's no way of funding the ever increasing government spending and DEBT.
*
True and that too.
Its inevitable.

Tier dividend is fair. Rich people should know that invest in S'pore property and stocks better so should not depend on EPF. with rich peeps removing their funds then pooor people get more dividend. Simple logic only.
*
It is also fair that those diligent savers who have worked hard to accrue a large amount of savings (i.e. more than 500K..above 1M)
in the EPF are also duly rewarded by getting higher dividend rates.

Simple logic as well.
