I am rather surprised and shocked at the BIG Q3 revenue considering the low Q1 and Q2 figures. Good indeed but ... hmm.gif

With the global economy trending downwards, Q3 comes out as the second highest in EPF history. That is very commendable.  rclxm9.gif

True?

Or is this creative accounting (eg using past years carryover dividend, higher overseas assets in US$) to paint a better picture for the coming QE14?

I expect Q4 to be 10.7 - 14.5 billion. If it is at the higher end of my estimate, then QE14 may be 6 months away? Ha.

If I read it correctly, says the stock market contributed about 50% of Q3 revenue. I thought KLCI was not doing that well in Q3 looking at the index. Maybe from the good timing in buying and selling?
P/S One will say this guy is really hopeless, complain when EPF does not perform. Complain also when it announces high revenue! Ha.

Despite gud Q3/16, b prepare for lower Dividend in 2016 as cumulative revenue of RM27.54 bil is still lower than preceding yr of RM31.58 bil sweat.gif

Bro,... Q4/16 is not here yet,...perhaps they are able to make a quantum leap in Q4,... then we will be able to match 2015 rev..  smile.gif

If, in this case, the EPF HAS NOT been politically compelled to 'absorb' this disposal from the CIMB, and if the EPF made it own decisions to acquire this asset, then I'm quite sure the EPF would have done its due diligence before purchasing this asset. The EPF must be seeing good opportunities in the Aus commercial asset sector.

I presume tis is part of their overall mandate to allocate certain % for investments outside M'sia

Just curious
How many forumers here have converted their Savings from conventional to Shariah since the closing date is on 23/12/2016?
