looks like we're in the same boat. my sejarah ok-ok can manage about 40+, geografi easy logic but must also study can manage like 40++ too, english no need to say is a straight definite A, science have to remember abit and how to answer in paper 2, maths very simple for me, now on indices(not much of a problem). yeah and i'm also weak in khpd, especially teras part where you remember the paips, tools etc. may need some help too. the teacher dont even teach properly when i was in form 1 & 2.

QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Mar 7 2013, 04:48 PM) Damn!! tmrw Kh exam and Maths! Moral and Sej on Saturday, today BM and Maths (2) went smooth :-), i totally give up on KH X_X, it seems that every single thing from KH requires memorising... i memorised like crap last year ( first time exam, and got 88) but seriously, memorising it without understanding a single crap?? NO! its too hard to understand too on the other hand... :/ Quite the same. I wonder how others got an A for it (any seniors willing to share some good tips? like read what books etc.) Asst. 1 results for me: all subjects over 80 marks except KH 63 Reading SEJ NOW |

QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Mar 7 2013, 08:16 PM) Ok! noted aika! and u WILL get 8A's, trust me :-) All of us will get our desire results :-) there's this Sejarah Comic they sell in some bookshops by Pelangi. Might as well you pick em up to get better understanding through the pictures and also relate it better. Good Luck brudda Im having trouble in sejarah bab 2 malayan union.. i dont even feel like reading it when i spotted the 'parlimen' word.. those politics word u know what i mean? I rather read those stories :3 ! and those pangkat-pangkat r driving me crazy X_X there's 1 part in bab 1(the jepun 1), they're basically referring to those pangkat stuff like gabenor.. i mean is it neccessary to read those stuff? O.o I got 11 wrongs for geography suprisingly, the form 2 part went great for me! So u guys basically did all the syllabus for PMR? form 1-3? Im not even half way through... anyways good luck to those who r having exams soon! This post has been edited by darthbii: Mar 7 2013, 08:35 PM |

QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Mar 8 2013, 11:27 PM) i just memorised those famous sultan's name ex. Sultan Abu Bakar and his idiot son ( no offence) Sultan Ibrahim and the smartass Temenggung Andak guy who advised the Ibrahim not to trust british lies.. ure almost the same as me. have to read back just to memorise the dates and facts. btw taking pk part for kh and its going quite ok for me as I'm quite interestedin these economic things. I rather apply things than to memorise like maths.just read finish chapter 1-4 form 2 sejarah.. phew! its so damn interesting! ( except for the last bab.. .___.) form 3 malayan union, Die!! anyways, some perjanjian has date on it, is it a required 2 memorise it too? ex. Perjanjian inggeris kedah 1786 T_____T so many things to memorise!! For a second, i thought i could enjoy the story! end up have to RE-READ the story a couple of times JUST to memorise those 'highlight events' |

QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Mar 9 2013, 10:45 PM) Same!! I like the PK part for KH too!! its so logicable and dosen't require any memorising skills!, true! applying it is better as it tends to be 'glued' inside your brain well for teras part.... I have no idea other than just memorise seriously, I dont understand a SINGLE SHIT about Malayan Union and the form 1 stuff form 2 sejarah, good shit! btw, my exam ended today!! yay! moral was ok! Luckily this time no definisi ( i hate memorising :/, and Oh! then how are u going to handle the Teras part? im facing that prob too! those paip, kegunaan alat, elektronik stuff, hope u can give me some tips X_X ) Sejarah, i only know how to do the form 2 ones and the form 3 jepun one... the rest, GG! tembak kaw kaw!! EDIT: my target is to get 50/60 for sej and geo and 35/above for science paper 1 and 25/above for maths paper 1 and 35/above for english paper1, kh 50/60, BM 30/40 X_X |

QUOTE(infrasonic @ Mar 13 2013, 05:52 PM) kh, sc, maths and eng..the only subject i can get A easily xD hmm.. seems like application and relation is the key to successteras..tbh there's no easy way to memorize it xD for me, it's becoz i like building things & also science.. ( i'm active member in school robotics club 1 thing i can tell u that is u need to understand it, not memorize.. like for capasitor, u have to remember it like it's similar to rechargeable battery where u charge some power in it then it will release power instead of memorizing it like menyimpan dan membuang cas.. |

QUOTE(infrasonic @ Mar 27 2013, 08:33 PM) btw, any tips/fast way to study maths? used to be good in maths but this year i cant find any tuition.. (good teachers with suitable time not in my area, good teachers in my area time not suitable for me or either full dy..) hmmm... if youre saying about formulas you can get this book ---> http://www.pnineuron.com/product/438/Visua...matics-PMR.html it's very complete with almost all sorts of formulas. but anyway there's no shortcut to studying it fast and as everyone says maths is all about practice. tbh, i'm also very lazy to study all the time as i always have the temptation to pick up the iPad and use the computer once in awhile. i feel that but i hope to soon put an end to my addiction and i very lazy to study at home xD so i want to study it as quick as possible..cant spent more than 1 hour studying especially at home..too much stuffs for me to play |

QUOTE(maximR @ Feb 17 2013, 01:25 PM) I disagree with iSean . I did not read any of the Sejarah or Geografi , especially Geografi . If you have a lot of time to waste , then go ahead . I relied on a compact book , published by Sabadi with diagrams and maps for Geografi . The important points are there , and they are all that you need . Geografi textbooks was horrible . Wow is this true bro? Mind telling me the title for the Geografi book? I might want to grab a copy I only relied on the mini sized Whizz Thru Sejarah by Oxford Fajar . It has everything from the textbook , copied and pasted in the form of notes , without unnecessary paragraphing . The nilai questions are supposed to test your understanding . You will not need to memorise any of them . They are common sense . There is no fixed number of nilai questions . They will change . And yes , past year questions are extremely helpful for both subjects . Good luck ! |

QUOTE(maximR @ Mar 30 2013, 11:54 AM) Yes , it's true . I remember that it was a black coloured , Nexus Geografi PMR ( Berpandukan Peta dan Fakta Diagramatik ) , it's a thinner version compared with the actual Geografi book , published by Sasbadi . I believe the cover has changed though . I used the book and consistently scored 58-60 . Geografi was one of my favourite subjects in PMR because the questions are fixed , there is no twist when it comes to the questions . It's either whether you know the answer or not . Doing exercises ( Trials / Past Years ) helps a lot too . I remember finishing the form 1 - 3 Geografi syllabus around May and started doing exercises leading to PMR . I actually did so many papers that I became sick of them when my teachers gave more during trials . thnx for your reply bud |

QUOTE(Critical_Fallacy @ Mar 30 2013, 11:02 PM) (1) Your level now in PMR Maths is probably Unconsciously Incompetence. great share bud (2) There are 39 Chapters altogether (Form 1, 2, 3) in PMR Maths. If you allocate 50 min each day to study and revise each chapter a day, you will learn the fundamentals in 39 days and become Consciously Incompetence. (3) To understand or know how to maths problems in PMR, you will repeat the same thing for another 39 days. It requires concentration to become Consciously Competence. (4) To reach the final level "Unconsciously Competence" that it has become "second nature" and the maths problem can be solved easily, you need to practice for another 39 days. ∴ 50 min for one chapter a day, and by end of July 2013, I guarantee that you will score A+ in PMR Maths. You get what you desired within your OWN Criteria (< 1 hour) and you can do or play whatever you want after that. By the way, you can also ask for advice from maximR and Flame Haze QUOTE(MathsGeniusOrNot @ Mar 31 2013, 10:16 AM) hey guys! so sad the holiday is coming to an end yeah. didnt work out as great as it was supposed to be p/s: the skype study group thingy failed, miserablly i did studied a little bit of geography.. and maths chapter 5, indices is killing me |

QUOTE(infrasonic @ Apr 10 2013, 05:51 PM) you don't take chinese? lucky guy.. nah it was a personal choice. I tried out Chinese when I was in F1, damn it was hard so luckily I was allowed to drop it the next year(this part I'm lucky). well, its actually ok to sit for it as you have something to show you have a good chinese education when you collect ur PMR slip.i came from a private primary school that don't test chinese for upsr. i got take chinese there but the chinese is damn easy, can simply get 80+ without studying form 1 when registering, wan try how hard is chinese in chinese school so i accepted the challenge.. shit happens when i reached form 2, never passed the exam..then i go find the teacher to drop chinese, but she don't let |
