just go for 2110 if you want fujitsu...
it is amd turion and ati xpress 200m intergrated graphic
you won't get dual core fujitsu lappie with that budget...
oterwise go for dell

with a budget of RM4K and wanting duo-core,768mb RAM and be a lightwieght (<2kg) is a hard one to ask for. The bigger ones will be a bit cheaper but I think it won't meet all those criterias for RM4K. If you push bour budget up another RM1K then probably some of it can be met. I suggest a DELL for price and after sales services.

Asus may have lappies that come with Centrino Duo Core processors... But if you want to save some cash, then Acer has the most affordable Duo Cores in the market today...

I was also checking out lappies in the market for my gf, who may purchase one for her college stuff as well as working life in future... Too bad i don't have the brochures with me right now...

limweekoon... will there be any price change for april? any special for upcoming Pcfair in april ah? i think i gonna save up and go for lappie hunting on that day hahaha

how come dell can be so cheap? even after i customize it into

duo core 1.66mhz
2GB ram ohmy.gif
60GB HDD
DVDRW rom
128MB 950
included bluetooth

and price for it is rm4297 within range of rm4k - 5k shocking.gif in terms of the price and quality i come to question...

Its a bit of a gamble but your lappie will be insured for the first year. to extend you'll have to fork out more. My Dell came with some problems but since its within the first year everything was replaced. I would have to say their after sales services are the best but maybe build quality doesn;t match the likes of Fujitsu.

If u prefer to get Fujitsu, just get the Lifebook S2110,then use it and make do with it for the moment. When u have saved enough money, then u could just shuff in another RAM.

Fujitsu Lifebook S2110
Processor: AMD Turion™ 64 MT-30(1.60GHz, 512K L2 cache, 1600 L2 Cache 512kb
Hard Disk: 40 GB
Video Card: 128MB ATI-Share
Memory: 256MB DDR333
Display: 13.3" XGA TFT, 1024 x 768 pixels
Optical Drive: DVD RW
Communication Ports: Modem / LAN / Wireless LAN
Ports & Interfaces: 2 x USB, 1 x FireWire, Infrared
Operating System: Ms Windows XP Home
RM3999

Otherwise with that budget,go for Compaq Presario M2251 which is running on AMD turion too.

Compaq Presario M2251
Processor: AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile Technology ML-32 (1.8GHz) 1.8
Hard Disk: 80 GB
Video Card: 128MB - ATI
Memory: 512MB DDR DDR RAM
Display: 15.0"
Optical Drive: DVD±RW
Communication Ports: 56K Modem/ LAN
Ports & Interfaces: 128
RM2999

But u will have to install your own OS.If you want to get the one with WinXP Home will cost another RM200.

is there differences if i ask them to add for me or i go to any other computer shop to ask them add for me.

For 5k you can get the specs that you want from Midvalley. I can't give you the exact details because my buddy and I were scouting for his new lappie and he took all the brochures.

Btw, there's a toshiba booth there too. You might want to check them out and see if there are any models that might interest you.

Sotong, Dell is cheaper because they do not incur overheads and other incidental costs that are associated with retail-based manufacturers... As u know, Dell sells its products either via the Internet or phone-orders and they do not have any retail outlets carrying their products, although i may be wrong...

Well they don't have outlets carrying their products. You save on the fact there is not middleman.

Dell has the advantage of just-in-time production and economics of scale savings. Couple that with excellent customer services, Dell is always a good choice when considering a lappie.
