which is more powerful? My parents plan to buy a "big" yet stylish SUV. They care about how powerful are they in real life because this car will be using in my hometown Sabah. Where road doesn't like KL, they have big holes and cracking road. Really awful

Really awful you mentioned POWER is a high requirement. Budget around 150k. Owners of one of the car comment will be much appreciated your choice is obvious as one of the cars u mentioned above is known to be under powered |

I am not the one saying Subaru XV and Mazda XV as urban suv.
But Subaru and Mazda said that in their advertisement and their marketing strategy. In their manual also said like that it's urban suv not mean for challenging off-road. Subaru XV CVT will not stand tough road in Sabah. |

QUOTE(durianpuff @ Feb 15 2013, 02:47 PM) CX-5 better if 4WD version. But as urban suv, It didnt have Low gear or high gear 4WD that u can choose which usually can found in Toyota or Mitsubishi or automated setting that U can find in land rover as example. Somemore U need smaller rims wt bigger tyre if U plan to drive in Sabah. 19" or 17" rims for CX5 is too big. This post has been edited by khusyairi: Feb 15 2013, 02:57 PM |

actually, I am very curious as to the concept of x-over. I mean, those who bought, are buying or eyeing an x-over, what attract you to go for x-over.
It's a cross breed of SUV and a HatchBack. However, it compromise the road handling of a HB (being taller), and also lack the offroad capability of a SUV (most are 2-wheels or AWD, no 4wD option). Dun get me wrong, I am not making a critic statement but rather a curious mind want to know. This post has been edited by swing123: Feb 15 2013, 02:58 PM |

Come on, the tests in that video aren't that challenging, are they? I'm quite certain my Kangoo could do most of them too, and the Kangoo 4x4 could do basically all of em (except maybe for one test, afraid it'll topple over).
Do this with an XV and I'll be impressed: Anyway, Citroen C5? Press a button and the car will lift up, letting you cross this kind of terrain. |

TS said he wanted a big, stylish and powerful SUV, not an offroad vehicle. sabah road is bad, but they are still roads (albeit horrible) la aiyoyo |

Haha, I'm just against calling the XV more than just an urban SUV.

Stylish not necessarily be able to work in off road conditions. U could buy a used X5 or Land Rover. But new ones i would not look at the Subaru or Mazda really. Since in your place, u should realize that sometimes driving what a lot of other people drive there makes more sense than buying something that does not work. Not necessarily mean u should own a Hilux (Which i know a lot of that there). But being true off road SUV like Land Rovers, Pajero or even a Land Cruiser.

Personnel preference would go for cx5 instead of xv.
Outlook - cx5 Features - cx5 gadgets and bose sound system Performance - cx5 skyactive engine win over the fuel consumption |
