KUALA LUMPUR:
Langkah membantu golongan India Muslim mendapat status Bumiputera menuntut kerajaan mengkaji semula definisi Bumiputera.

Pakar Hubungan Etnik, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Dr Hazman Hassan berkata, ia bagi memastikan definisi sebenar Bumiputera dapat difahami dengan jelas tanpa sebarang kekeliruan.

Dr Hazman melihat golongan India Muslim wajar mendapat pengiktirafan Bumiputera sekiranya ciri-ciri yang ada pada Bumiputera dipraktikkan

Ini termasuk menjadikan bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa utama.

Dr Hazman berkata, "Mungkin satu kebimbangan satu asas orang akan tanya adakah orang India Muslim berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Malaysia, ya sebab pada masa yang sama, anda boleh lihat Jawa cakap Jawa di rumah cakap tetapi iktiraf Bahasa Malaysia seolah boleh bahasa suku tapi bahasa utama ialah Bahasa Malaysia ."

Ujarnya, definisi Bumiputera perlu dikaji semula dengan teliti memandangkan Malaysia sudah lebih 50 tahun mengecapi kemerdekaan.

Pada Isnin, kerajaan bersedia untuk membantu India Muslim mendapat pengiktirafan Bumiputera.

Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak berkata, golongan berkenaan boleh diiktiraf sebagai Bumiputera jika mereka mengamalkan adat resam Melayu serta beragama Islam.

Bumiputera refer to penduduk asal Tanah Melayu b4 the form of Malaysia, Peribumi Sabah & Sarawak.

There are the differences between Malay and Bumiputera definition.

2) Sabah Sarawak wants to join ( You know Geography right? since you are a retard you need help identifying )
3) Sabah Sarawak doesn't want Bahasa Melayu to be the official language
4) Ok, but BM become second language, but you must learn ok
5) Ok then slowly they learn BM, at first Sarawak first declare they want to use BM then after few years Sabah

Like i said, there is a difference between Bumiputera and Malay definition. Some Sarawakian/Sabah people treat BM as 2nd language but still consider as bumiputera because they are fcking peribumi there. I surprise you also don't know about this eventhough you're Sarawakian.

the article itself clearly stated that indian-muslim should be recognized as a bumi. im not sure if you're reading the same article as i did, but it clearly stated 'bumiputra status'

and in case u didnt know, article 160, 161 of the constitution stated that "Malay" and "indigenous peoples" (Article 160(2)), "natives" of Sarawak (161A(6)(a)), and "natives" of Sabah (Article 161A(6)9b)) are categorised as BUMI
