the rom i use was last updated on feb 8.
not an issue until now. never plan to change also.

i feel more like a causal user rather than an explorer now.
no more stress and worry updates or craving for features. peace

S2 may not have the latest fastest hardware, but good enough for me. will only change unless it spoil.
for a phone, it works just fine.

i dont get the point of changing phone now. current selection are limited
even if i buy a nexus 4, there's no surprise, the UI will be same as cyanogenmod
used to own a nexus 7, already know what's the nexus experience is.

if buy note 2 or s3, same like touch wiz rom s2 is currently using.
the custom rom also same same only, the same top developers only.
the same UI/custom rom on a different phone only


lately spending more time tweaking my new ipad.
jailbreak tweaks are really really cool, a brand new play ground for me.
but iOS forum section here pretty much no activity one, i mainly google and find myself to play.

Now buy ipad4 is perfect time.
Out of the box is iOS 6.0, can upgrade to 6.1.2 and jailbreak.

In mall I always get shitty reception. I blame digi.
Not only in malls, quite often first time call not get trough. Need call Second time.
Lately I have SMS not sent issue. Haiz...stupid digi.

i know what you mean, samsung tw camera can do that.
got setting for "metering", it will change the exposure level.
got 3 types of metering:

matrix: calculate the entire image and adjust the exposure based on the average. my favourite since pics wont appear too dark or too bright

Center weighted: default for all camera app. exposure auto adjust based on center of the image

spot: exposure auto adjust only based on the small square in the middle. good for snapping person standing behind the sun or bright light. adjust the square in the middle to his face so the pic wont appear too dark.

aosp camera in custom aosp rom dont have this feature.

basically the method to upgrade yourself is very easy.

go sammobile website download the jellybean rom.
use the odin software to flash.
thats all.

downloading the rom takes very long cos its very big >500MB
downloading odin is very fast, <10MB,
flashing process is fast <10 minutes.

sounds like a telco issue.

i'm using digi, and for the past 1 week, the sms service sucks so bad.
sms gets delayed for few hours, and they dont arrive in the correct order.

i tried alliance and omega yesterday.
both are good rom.

but omega dont have crt off effect.
alliance cant disable long press back to kill, and strangely cant flash android 4.2 apps to it.

so restore back to chameleon rom.

Chameleon rom is Samsung based. All hardware work and non of aokp bug.
Equally rock stable like other Samsung rom.

But on the surface everything looks like aokp.
So really it's a Samsung rom that looks like aokp, and with aokp features.
Everything from browser,lockscreen,settings,messaging, etc all aosp app.
Only camera is Samsung camera.

Think of it as the official aokp 4.1.2, minus the navigation bar customization, but plus working hdmi,fm radio, and wifi direct. Wifi direct is great, can share files with s3 an note2, many friends are using.
